Ques. What is the total fee for the Part-Time Diploma in Civil Engineering at MIET Hooghly?
Ans. The total fee for the 3-year Part-Time Diploma in Civil Engineering is INR 1,00,000. Semester 1 costs INR 30,000 and each of Semesters 2 to 6 costs INR 14,000, for a total of 6 semesters.
Ques. Is there an entrance exam for Part-Time Diploma admission at MIET Hooghly?
Ans. No. Since 2024, the written entrance examination (JEXPO) has been discontinued. Admission to the Part-Time Diploma in Civil Engineering at MIET Hooghly is now based on Class 10 (Madhyamik) merit. Candidates must register through the WBSCTVESD portal at scvtwb.in.
Ques. Can I join this Part-Time Diploma if I am not employed?

Eligible diploma holders with at least 45% aggregate marks can seek lateral entry into the second year of a B.Tech programme at MAKAUT-affiliated colleges, including MIET Hooghly’s B.Tech Lateral Entry programme.
