Infrastructure is decent and can be improved a bit
College faculties were very friendly to us. Curriculum is good as they were providing Specialization with exitisting degree
Placement Cell were really supported us throughout the year until we get placed by providing various trainings inc. Soft skill and aptitude training

Dislikes

They will make to admit college hostel compulsarily unless they were in the surrounding.
Boys can't talk with girls. If any management people find they will make unnecessary enquiries, etc.,
Mobile phones were not allowed for both dayscholar and hosteller. Laptop is allowed from second year students

Admission:

I applied for Thiagarajar College of Engineering, PSG College of Engineering and Tech. and Anna University, Guindy and Mepco Schlenk Engineering College. I applied admission and enrolled in exam for selection for merit management and luckily i got passed and selected in Merit management in Mepco college. If i failed then along with merit fees, donation fees need to paid.

The lab environment is too good. There will be plenty of resources to explore and learn.
The food in hostel is good and they will provide non-veg for 5 days a week
The infrastructure will be good. It will give you whole some experience in environment.

Dislikes

Strict rules and fines will be there to follow.
Shoes compulsory and should be in black.
Phones are not allowed inside the college and inside the hostel.

Admission:

This college is a underrated college which gives you quality education for students. This is my first college in my list and i got this. It had a very good name in my circle for its quality of education.

Likes

The campus is good with peaceful environment and good infrastructure.
The teachers are strict during the class and friendly during other time and they are training us thoroughly to get well versed in the field
The laboratory facilities is good, which gives you more hands-on experience

Dislikes

The thing what is hated the most is they maintain gender based rules.
Mobiles phones are not allowed and interaction between girls and boys is strictly prohibited

Admission:

The other college I have applied is National engineering college, Thoothukudi. But my first preference was Mepco as it has better ranking and placements as compared to the other colleges. The admission process is very simple incase of management quota as for govt quota you can enter through tnea counselling. The cutoff should br greater than 175 to enter through counselling.

most of the staff in our college are PHD holders
even smart class are installed , they prefer books over online material
night labs are available to work during night time

Dislikes

there are some strick dress codes and rules to be followed
no mobile are allowed inside in the class
fine is generated if absent for a single class of 5rs

Students who completed the course in Mepco are at good positions in real life
The best part is the hostel life we enjoyed there

Yes, we were asked to attend the exam and then after evaluation they contacted us depending on our scores and preferences and then we were called for admission. At the time of admission they one bank accounts for the students so that it will be helpful and there were people to guide us throughout the process

We shouldn't violate and college rules and regulations.

I have undergo merit management scholarship and I took the cutoff in my 12th as 145. I studied in CBSE school so they have some priority for me and gave me a B.Tech IT course.There is no entrance exam for me since it is a covid19 time. The course fees is about 1.5 lakhs which of too high since it is an autonomous college
