Academic and Social life at Gossner college

Professors behaviour, knowledge, understanding and companionship as they were too good and practical.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio was good enough to provide and make each and every student understood about particular topic. Faculty student relationship was also very good as we use to celebrate all the small and huge occasion together. Same goes with the classes time There was very good understanding between both student and professors. I personally liked my hons HOD Professor Mishra sir the most as he was very knowledgeable person and also very kind and student friendly, he was very approachable too. Also Professor Pulin Ma'am was very knowledgeable and helpful during my time of course. During my course i have given exams on yearly basis. Exams were moderately tough during my time of course. Only few students failed . The course curriculum was not of much relevance as most of us were highly focused in studying and passing exam.

Gossner college is the best college

The exams are conducted very late every semester. The teachers are not so well like in every subject. Few are good but you are not all

Faculty:

Outdated syllabus, 3rd class administration, all courses always gets delayed for 6 months. All students pass the exams even dull students who don't even know basic knowledge.

The faculty to students ratio is 1 to 50.the relationship between faculty and students is very good.my most liked faculty of my college is mr anupma mam because she is very good to learn any students,I not like mr devashish sir because he is very rude to everyone.every year there are 4 exams and all exams are moderate label

A Transformative Journey : My College Experience

Likes

Regular classes were held according to the scheduled routine.
Proper laboratory guidance were given by the professors during laboratory classes.
Every student was viewed as an individual and there opinion and doubts were taken into consideration and cleared too.

Dislikes

Sometimes syllabus won't be completed on time and we would have to make do with what were taught.
No field work and no extra curriculum activities was held in our department. Overall it was more boring like a regular old school time.

The faculty members and the professors of our our college department were awesome as they have vast amount of knowledge and so much experience and we got to learn a lot from them, and they were really friendly and easily approachable. We didn't felt as if it was student teacher relationship with them much more like it was friendship bond between us but we all had a lot of respect for our faculty members as they taught and helped us a lot. The professor I liked the most was our H.O.D. Dr. Sumantha Sen Gupta Sir as he would often approach us individually and share his own life experiences and his college days memories with us all in between free periods and outside the class, we all had fun time interacting with him. The only person we didn't like was our lab assistant as he was young too much about rules and discipline and doing things the right way. Our course structure was divided into 6 semesters with each semester having 2 exams 1 MID SEM exam and it was held internally in our college with 4 papers and each paper in MID SEM was conducted for 15 marks. Second End SEM exam and it was held externally and in this each paper was of 60 marks. And practical exam for each paper was held separately containing 25 marks each. For passing criteria in every theory was 30 marks out of 75 including both end sem and mid sem.

Faculty to students ratio was quite low There were large number of students and only few teachers were there Some of them were not quite interested in addressing the students There were two exams per semester at that time

Staffs were good, they are friendly nature.

Half time of class goes in attendance because of lots of students in one class

Faculty members of college are great, they make students better, all are experienced with more then 10 years. Some professor are experienced more than 25 years. College provide almost all the courses and exam system were good they take half yearly exams. Marking schemes were on the basis of attendance, behaviour in class, performance.

Faculty:

The teachers doesn't have good relations with students as they doesn't interact with students. They are not much helpful for the students as they doesn't clear the doubts of the students , it affects the students result as they doesn't get good score and result to get fail in exams.
