Mahendra Engineering College is an autonomous institute affiliated to Anna University. The college follows the admission guidelines set by Anna University.
Currently, Mahendra Engineering College offers B.E/B.Tech, M.E, MBA & MCA to aspiring students. Admissions are entrance based for all the degree courses offered.
Admissions to B.E/B.Tech are offered through TNEA counseling. To be eligible for admissions, students who have pursued their HSC from Tamil Nadu only would be offered a seat.
M.E admissions are offered to those students who qualify TANCET or who are already GATE qualified. The students are eligible if they have 50% in B.E/B.Tech in a relevant discipline of study. Applications are accepted by TANCA.
For MBA enrolment, students are offered admissions on qualifying either TANCET or MAT. students will be eligible for admissions only if they have a bachelor’s degree with 50% in any discipline. Applications are accepted through TANCA MBA counseling.
MCA admissions are also offered to those students who qualify TANCET. They are eligible only if they have 50% in graduation with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
More than 150 companies recruited 1550 students for 2018-19 pass-outs. As many as 2685 offers were made in total.

TNEA Application Process
Eligible students can apply for TNEA by following the given steps for registration, with a fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for reserved category):
- Visit the official website of TNEA and click on the “Online Registration” link.
- Candidates need to first register by creating a login ID and password through an OTP verification.
- After the registration, candidates can log in with their username and password.
- Candidates will have to fill in personal details, academic qualifications, etc.
- After filling the application form online, candidates can preview the details entered.
- The application form should be submitted along with the fee and a printout should be taken.

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

- Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
