Students who have passed VIII-XII from Tamil Nadu or students from other states completed their HSC from Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

Note: Students belonging from other Indian states are not eligible to apply for B.E/B.Tech program.

TNEA Application Process

Eligible students can apply for TNEA by following the given steps for registration, with a fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for reserved category):

• Visit the official website of TNEA and click on the “Online Registration” link.
• Candidates need to first register by creating a login ID and password through an OTP verification. 
• After the registration, candidates can log in with their username and password.
• Candidates will have to fill in personal details, academic qualifications, etc.
• After filling the application form online, candidates can preview the details entered.
• The application form should be submitted along with the fee and a printout should be taken.

To apply for admissions to M.E program at Mahendra Engineering College students must qualify TANCET and must fulfill the following required eligibility criteria to get admissions:

Mahendra Engineering College M.E Admission Process

Students who qualify for the GATE exam can also apply through TANCA for admissions.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id. 

Documents Required

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

How to register?

• Candidates have to register through online mode at the Web portal.
• They must enter active mobile number and email ID.
• Enter relevant personal and educational details 
• Choose the save / submit button.
• Preview the forms and make changes, if required.
• Finally, click submit and save button to make an online fee payment.

Documents Required

Candidates have to upload scanned images of the following given documents while registering for TANCA counseling: 

• Mark sheets of X, XII or Diploma (3 years) Certificate
• Qualifying Degree certificate, provisional certificate and mark sheets of all semesters or Consolidated mark sheet. 
• Transfer certificate from the institution last studied
• Valid GATE scorecard and TANCET hall ticket for GATE qualified category
• Certificate of Disability
• Nativity Certificate only in electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate. (if applicable)
• Copy of identification certificate obtained from the Head Quarters Tahsildar or Visa, Passport and letter registered in Police Station (For Srilankan Refugee candidates)
• Experience Certificate (if applicable)

To get admission to the MCA program, the applicants must qualify TANCET and fulfill the other eligibility criteria for admission:

Eligibility Criteria

Passed bachelor’s degree with 50% in a relevant discipline having Mathematics at the 10+2 or bachelor’s level.

TANCET Application Process

Students appearing for TANCET must have at least 50% in bachelor’s degree. The application fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for reserved category) must be paid before submitting the application.

How to Apply?

• Students can log in to Anna University and register online for TANCET.
• Registration requires personal details along with Mahendra Engineering College details for generating a new user id and password.
• Go to the TANCET application form and log in using the credentials generated during registration.
• Fill in the required details and upload a recent photograph.
• Submit the application with the fee and keep a printout for future reference.
