LBRCE Admission Dates 2026

Admissions to LBRCE for the 2026-27 session were based on AP EAPCET ranks for B.Tech, AP PGECET for M.Tech, and AP ICET for MBA. The 2026-27 counselling cycle concluded with students reporting to the institute in August 2026.

The 2027-28 admission cycle is expected to follow the same annual AP counselling schedule. Tentative dates based on the established pattern are listed below.

LBRCE Courses and Fees

LBRCE offers 9 B.Tech specialisations including emerging disciplines such as AI and ML, AI and Data Science, and Aerospace Engineering, alongside traditional core branches. M.Tech and M.E. programmes cover advanced specialisations in power electronics, VLSI, cyber security, and robotics.

Hostel accommodation is available for boys at INR 70,000 per annum and for girls at INR 70,000 to 90,000 per annum. LBRCE offers NBA accreditation for 7 B.Tech programmes including CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil, IT, Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering.

LBRCE Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

LBRCE B.Tech admission is conducted through AP EAPCET counselling managed by APSCHE. The college code for AP EAPCET is 76. Eligibility criteria:

• 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
• Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science as the third subject
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination
• Valid AP EAPCET rank

The selection process follows: AP EAPCET exam and result, web-based counselling registration on apsche.ap.gov.in, certificate verification, choice filling, seat allotment, fee remittance, then reporting to LBRCE. CSE and AI and ML branches attract the most competitive EAPCET ranks, while Civil and Aerospace Engineering have relatively higher closing ranks across categories.

M.Tech and M.E. Admission

M.Tech and M.E. admissions at LBRCE are through AP PGECET counselling. Candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference. Eligibility requires a B.Tech or B.E. in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Specialisations such as Cyber Security, Data Science, and Electric Vehicle Technology are particularly sought after in recent cycles.

MBA Admission

MBA admission at LBRCE is based on AP ICET scores. Eligibility requires any bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate. Candidates register through the APSCHE portal and participate in web-based counselling for seat allotment to the MBA programme.

LBRCE Placements

LBRCE placement season 2025-26 recorded its best-ever outcome. A total of 1,117 students received placement offers from over 80 companies. The highest CTC offered was INR 25.5 LPA. Major IT recruiters included Cognizant (110 offers), Infosys (41 offers), HCL Tech (40 offers), and TCS (31 offers).

LBRCE has an Internshala All India Rank of 49 among 600+ colleges for the 2025 season, reflecting active internship and placement activity. Faculty strength also supports outcomes, with 85 PhD-qualified faculty engaged in research and mentoring.

Computer Science and Engineering and IT branches see the highest placement volumes in IT services companies. EEE and Mechanical graduates are placed in core manufacturing, power, and automotive sectors. The M.E. in Electric Vehicle Technology programme feeds into the growing EV manufacturing sector.

LBRCE Rankings

LBRCE appears in multiple national engineering rankings. The NIRF 2024 Engineering band places LBRCE in the 201-300 range. India Today 2025 ranked LBRCE at #228 in the Engineering (Private Colleges) category.

In addition to national rankings, LBRCE holds NAAC A Grade (CGPA 3.20), NBA Tier-I accreditation for 7 B.Tech programmes, and UGC College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) status. These accreditations affirm the college’s academic quality within the JNTUK-affiliated private engineering college tier in Andhra Pradesh.

LBRCE Scholarships

LBRCE students are eligible for both government and institutional scholarship programmes. SC, ST, BC, and EWS students can avail Andhra Pradesh state government fee reimbursement and post-matric scholarships through the AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena schemes.

The AP state fee reimbursement schemes cover a large portion of eligible students at LBRCE, significantly reducing the cost of B.Tech for qualifying categories. Applications are submitted through the AP state scholarship portal each academic year.

LBRCE Campus and Infrastructure

LBRCE is situated at L.B. Reddy Nagar in Mylavaram, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. The campus houses 75 labs and research centres spanning all 10 departments, supporting both undergraduate project work and faculty research.

The college has 85 PhD-qualified faculty members. ISO certifications (ISO 21001:2018, 14001:2015, and 50001:2018) cover academic management, environmental management, and energy management systems. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) rated LBRCE as an A Grade institution in the Jul-Dec 2024 season.

Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls. Boys hostel charges are INR 70,000 per annum. Girls hostel charges range from INR 70,000 to INR 90,000 per annum. The campus also has sports facilities, a cafeteria, and a digital library.

LBRCE vs Vignan’s Lara Institute vs RVR and JC College of Engineering

Engineering aspirants targeting AP EAPCET-based private colleges in the Krishna-Guntur corridor often compare LBRCE with Vignan’s Lara Institute of Technology and Science (VLITS) and RVR and JC College of Engineering, as all three are autonomous JNTUK-affiliated private colleges at a comparable tier and fee level in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

RVR and JC College of Engineering has a longer institutional history in the Guntur-Krishna belt. Vignan’s Lara holds a higher NAAC A+ grade with strong industry tie-ups.
