Ques. What is the difference between the regular MBA and the MBA Plus at KCCITM?
Ans. The MBA Plus is KCCITM's branded version of the standard AKTU-affiliated MBA program. It emphasizes an application-centric, industry-integrated approach with additional features like industry mentors, live projects, case studies, and enterprise software training (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.) beyond the standard AKTU curriculum. The degree awarded is the same AKTU MBA degree.
Ques. Can I get admission to the MBA Plus at KCCITM without a CAT score?
Ans. Yes. KCCITM offers direct merit-based admission to the MBA Plus program for graduates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. While CAT/MAT/XAT/CUET scores are preferred and attract scholarships, they are not mandatory for direct admission. The institute conducts its own counselling and Personal Interview for direct admissions.
Ques. What specializations are available in the MBA Plus program at KCCITM?
Ans. Six specializations are available: Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, International Business, Operations Management, and Information Technology. Students typically choose their specialization at the end of the first year based on their interests and career goals.
Ques. What is the placement record for MBA students at KCCITM?
Ans. In 2024-25, the highest package offered to MBA students was Rs. 27.47 LPA. The average package ranges from Rs. 5 LPA to Rs. 15 LPA. Over 250 companies visit the campus for recruitment, including TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Samsung, Amazon, and Capgemini. The placement rate for eligible MBA students is approximately 95%.
Ques. Is work experience required for admission to the MBA Plus program at KCCITM?
Ans. No, work experience is not mandatory for admission to the MBA Plus program at KCCITM. Fresh graduates with a minimum of 50% in their bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. However, students with prior work experience may have an advantage during the Personal Interview stage.
Ques. Does KCCITM offer any industry certifications as part of the MBA Plus program?
Ans. Yes, the MBA Plus program includes training on enterprise software platforms relevant to each specialization. For example, Finance students get exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance and Oracle Financials; HR students work with Workday HCM and SAP SuccessFactors; IT students get trained on AWS, Azure, and ITIL.
