Likes

Good teaching and friendly staffs and good environment
More special activities trainings and lectures
The placement training is more effective and good

Dislikes

Hostel food and hostel service maintainability
It's frosty environment and not maintaining
Climate condition is tough high heat area

I have applied this college only and I got placed in this college . This is the best college and it has been under government control now no need to worry about the placements it's full of joy and pleasure

IRTT Erode report

Likes

The faculty in college are nice to every student.
The hostel is safe for everyone who stays in hostel.
The infrastructure of the college is good.

Dislikes

There is not much sports in this college.
The food in the hostel is not very good.
There is not so much freedom in the hostel

The admission process is by the counseling process. There are two different counseling processes in this college One for normal students. And others for the ward of children of transport workers. The application will be available through the engineering counseling website. For ward of transport workers, it will be provided in bus depo.

My Best College

Admission:

This is the only college for students whose parents are working in Tamil Nadu State Transport corporation. This college offers 60% seats to the Anna University counselling and the rest is for the management. I applied through management and attended management counselling and I got a Mechanical engineering seat.

100% govt college, "college" rather an a "school" , very good alumni network

Admission:

Starting from 2021-2022, the institute is renamed to Goverment Engineering College (GEC, Erode) The old name: IRTT Good thing is it is now a 100% government college - meaning lesser fees and more opportunities. 65% of seats are filled through TNEA counselling. 35% of seats are reserved for wards of TNSTC employees

Well, educated professors, who are teaching education with life values

Admission:

Secondary school marks based admission is going. It may be took maximum two months to complete admission procedure. Apply for counselling conducted by tamilnadu engineering admission board TNEA. After that they will short list candidates based on their cutoff marks based on secondary school exam. Tnea conducts counselling for around 500 colleges. Based on availability of seat candidate can choose the college and course

My college seats are filling based on Anna university councilling(70%). Remaining 30% of seats are only for son's/daughter's of Tamilnadu transport corporation employees.I want to study Automobile,so choose IRTT. because IRTT is one of the best college for Automobile in tamilnadu.

Best experience in my life is college life

Admission:

I'm interested in mechanical engineering from childhood so I chose this course after my 12th standard higher education. But since I had got 169 cut off marks I thought I will not get higher standard institutions . But to my luck all over the Tamil Nadu the situation was sane and I got mechanical engineering seat in the institute of road transport and technology in the general category itself. The admission process was very easier. As soon as I got my allotment order from DOTE, I was given a date to confirm my seat. I went with all relevant certificates and photos and completed my admission process very easily .

My father works in tamilnadu state transport corporation, IRTT is run by Institute of road and transport. So I got a seat in that college despite of my low marks. I applied for that college and got a counselling letter. I attended counselling at Tharamani, Chennai. Then I joined the college.
