HMRITM Faculties : Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 194 Reviews

The faculty-to-student ratio at the college ranges between 1:30 and 1:55. There is a mix of experienced and inexperienced faculty, with most holding M.Tech and some possessing PhDs. The teaching quality is generally considered good, with many faculty members being helpful, supportive, and approachable. They are known for completing the syllabus on time and providing additional guidance outside of regular class hours.

However, there are concerns about the lack of practical knowledge and the relevance of the curriculum. Faculty members often change, with a significant portion being recent graduates with limited experience. Despite some faculty being described as rude or unhelpful, the college also hosts highly qualified and knowledgeable professors who are praised for their dedication to student success.

The best thing is in this college I like is faculty to students relationship you can ask anything and they will guide you in sort they are very approachable. Two mid term exam are there of 2-2units each they are not very hard easily score marks, even if you just listen to you teacher in class or one shots before exam fare enough no need to study entire semester.still many student fail in there exam because they don't take it seriously in 1st semester.

faculty to student ratio is somewhat good. each teacher is not assigned more than 2 class or 2 subject at the same time. and approachabilty of a teacher is based on their character. if a teacher is nice and warm to student we easily approach them.if a teacher is a bit strict we still approach them but with little anxiety.but in my branch almost all teacher are preetty nice and my favourite faculty is currently teaching us artificial intelligence. i like her as she teaches the best and her confidence and the way she carry herself makes her more likable almost like an inspiration .and there are few faculty i dislike because or their unnecessary involvement when not needed and sometimes when they not understand the boundaries set to them. there are two exams which includes internal and external exams. internal exams are conducted inside the college but the internal exams paper are set by the university. but the internal exams are checked inside the college .where for external exams each college is assigned a centre .and students have to go there to write there external exams and also these external exams are checked by the random teacher who doesnt know whose paper they are checking. external exams includes all the units in the subject .where are internal exams included only and only half the units from the subject . difficult of an exam is based on subject. if exam is theoretical it is easier but if it is pratical exam like maths or algorithm it can be a bit tricky . also internal exams are comparatively easier than the external ones. also labs also have a internal and external. in internal labs we have to prepare a file and give viva to the respective subject teacher and for external lab we have to write an exam and a external examiner will take our viva.

Faculty:

I think the faculty to student ration is like 1 teacher for every 30 students. Overall all faculties are friendly and helpful but some are not. I like my class teacher which is chinmayee mam and also the teacher of communication skills and manufacturing process and the reason is that i got jaundice after the freshers party and it was severe my billirubin went up to 7 .2 and i was super ill and due to the same i had to take a medical leave for 1.5 months in which i took proper bed rest since the doctor has adviced me to and after i recovered and went to college and approached the teachers all 3 of them were helpful and told me to do what i was supposed to since i had missed very important stuff in those months. And they really helped me catch up but on the other hand the applied mathematics teacher and electrical science teacher didnt hesitate and blamed me wihtout knowing the truth and didnt listen to me and also gave me bad marks in internal exams even tho i was on leave for 1.5 months i even submitted the important assigments which i was supposed to but their nature was very rude and unpolite. OK talking bout the exams there are two mid term exams inthe college before the end termsand some suprise tests too. The difficulty is i will say moderate and not that hard. 20 percent of the students dont manage to pass the exam. and not gona lie the cirrcicumum is no very relevant what we are studying is not very helpful like subjects like MP, ES and IC and more are not relevant according to me there should be some innovative courses which is more realted to B.tech and our interpersonal skills.
