GATES Institute of Technology offers B.Tech course in five specializations for the duration of four-year. Admission is given to only those who have qualified Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP-EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

- 70% of the total seats under the Convener Quota (Category-A) and rest 30% (Category-B) are considered under the Management Quota.
- Admission for Category-A is given through web counselling done on the basis of candidates’ rank in AP-PGECET or score of GATE.
- Admission for Category-B seats is given by the college Management in accordance with the guidelines of APSCHE, Hyderabad and JNTU, Anantapur.
- AP PGECET is a state level entrance test conducted in online mode in the month of May and the counselling is expected to be held in the month of July.
