MIT Aurangabad: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 7 Reviews

The mechanical engineering bachelor's course at MIT Aurangabad requires admission through CAP rounds based on MHT CET scores, managed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The process is online, culminating in the submission of the admission receipt to finalize enrollment. Faculty at the college are highly qualified, with many possessing PhDs, and maintain a favorable student-teacher ratio. The fee structure is approximately 87,000 INR annually, with specific yearly fees set at 90,000 INR, 85,000 INR, and 80,000 INR for each successive year.

Hostel and mess fees range from 40,000 to 50,000 INR and 20,000 to 30,000 INR, respectively. Payment options include one-time or installment payments, although this depends on college policies. Scholarships, many caste-based, are available to reduce financial burdens. The college has robust placement opportunities, with 20-30 companies visiting annually and 50-60 students securing placements, earning packages between 8 LPA to 10 LPA. The Training and Placement Cell is instrumental in these processes.

Internships are typically offered in the final year, sometimes with stipends, but the number of vacancies is limited. A transition from BAMU to BATU university has impacted placements slightly. Financial aid includes scholarships like Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj and Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC), which offer fee reductions for eligible students. The college supports admissions, loans, and scholarships through facilities like an on-campus SBI branch. A 'Learn and Earn' program is also available.

Fees and Financial Aid:

For term examination, we have to pay Rs. 1000 which we have to pay to the university on their official website. The total fees for General category student are Rs. 1,03,000. The fees structure change according to the category of the student. If you are a general category student or you have got admission through EBC quota and if your total yearly is less than 8,00,000 and this is mentioned in the income certificate issued by the local government authorities them you can opt for admission through EBC in which you have pay half fees of the amount of the total fees and the rest will be paid by the government but for that, you have applied for Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC) Scholarship through which you can avail this opportunity. There is a program called 'Learn and Earn' on campus by which you can earn money while studying. For that, you will need to contact the college department where you have taken admission in.
