SACOE B.E & B.Tech Admission 2024
Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering (SACOE) offers a four-year B.E and B.Tech program in 6 disciplines. Admissions are based on TNEA counselling procedure. Candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. The candidates belonging to backward communities are eligible for relaxation of 5% in the minimum qualifying marks.
B.Sc candidates who have taken Mathematics at 10+2 level or studied Mathematics as core subjects or ancillary subjects at B.Sc level alone are eligible to apply for B.E/ B.Tech courses through Lateral Entry mode. The candidates with Diploma in Engineering & Technology can also apply for Lateral Entry admissions.

- Reserved category benefit will apply only to the candidates who hold Tamil Nadu state domicile. Other state candidates will be considered as General.
- Rounding off of minimum eligibility marks is not permitted.
- Improvement examination marks will not be considered for evaluation of the minimum eligibility marks.
- For HSC (Vocational) students, marks will be evaluated only on the basis of Vocational subjects.
- Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee candidates are treated as General Category and will be admitted only after verification of Refugee Certificate.
SACOE M.E, M.Tech & MBA Admission 2024
SACOE offers at M.E, M.Tech and MBA courses at postgraduate level. It admits students to PG courses through the state level entrance exam conducted by Anna University i.e. TANCET.
For admission to the M.E and M.Tech programs, the candidates must hold a B.Tech/ B.E degree with at least 50% marks. Relaxation of 5% will be given to the candidates of the reserved categories. Minimum qualification for MBA program is a pass in a relevant Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3-year duration and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories).
The entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode for the duration of 2-hour. Applications have to be submitted offline. Forms can be downloaded from the official web portal. Merit list after the entrance exam will be available at the campus and on the official website.

User Facts:
- The Applicants who have a valid GATE score need to apply through the separate forms available for GATE qualified candidates.
- GATE qualified candidates will not have to appear for the written entrance exam.
- TANCET rank will be deduced after normalization of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.
- Counselling of the shortlisted candidates will be conducted through Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA).
- After counseling schedule is announced, candidates will have to attend TANCA process for the verification of documents, seat allotment and confirmation of admission process.
SACOE Reservation Criteria 2024
1Candidates can apply for the B.E, B.Tech, M.E, MBA and MCA courses by following the given steps:
- The candidates have to apply for TANCET and TNEA through the official portal only.
- For TANCET applications, the candidates need to register with a valid e-mail ID, phone number and password.
- Fill the mandatory details and upload the scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature.
- Proceed to pay the application fee. The application fee for General category candidates is INR 500 (INR 250 for the reserved categories)
- The application fee can be paid through Debit/ Credit cards or Net Banking.
- For TNEA application forms, the candidates need to click on the “register” tab on the home page of the website.
- After the successful completion of registration process, the applicants must fill the personal details and academic qualification details.
- Attach the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the hard copy of the duly filled in form:
- Class 10th mark sheet
- Class 12th mark sheet
- Transfer certificate issued by school
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Nativity certificate
- Relevant certificates for the children of Ex-servicemen/ freedom fighters.
