MCET offers B.E./B.Tech, ME, and MCA courses in various specializations, along with the Ph.D. programs.

Admission to B.Tech/B.E courses is offered by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), conducted by Anna University.
Candidates who have passed class 10+2 from Tamil Nadu state are eligible for TNEA.
Applicants belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission. However, children of Central Government employees not domiciled in Tamil Nadu have to provide a valid certificate from their parents who have been serving continuously for more than 5 years at the time of submission of the application.
To secure admission into M.E. programs, students have to qualify for TANCET, followed by the central counselling. A 3-year graduation degree in computer applications is required for the MCA program.

MCET BE/BTech Admissions 2025

MCET offers B.E/B.Tech programs in various specializations. To finalize the admission, TNEA is conducted by Anna University. Applicants belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission. The candidates will get admission based on their marks in 10+2, followed by TNEA counseling. The total course fee for BE and BTech is INR 2.2 lakhs. The course specializations, fees, eligibility, and selection criteria are mentioned-

Note: The college gives admissions based on TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University. Candidates of Tamil Nadu who’ve done HSC from other states are also eligible to apply, provided they produce a nativity certificate at the time of counselling.

MCET ME and MCA Admissions 2025

Admission to the ME course at MCET is provided on the basis of the performance of the candidates in TANCET conducted by Anna University. TANCET is an offline examination. Counseling will be conducted in June. The counselling fee is INR 5300 (INR 1150 for SC/ST).

For MCA admissions, the candidates should have passed a recognized bachelor’s degree in any of the following patterns, viz. 10+2+3/4 years Pattern, 10+3 years’ diploma + 3 years Pattern, or 10+2 with AMIE.

MCET PhD Admissions 2025

MCET invites applications during August and February for Ph.D. programs in several streams. Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination along with the valid GATE, NET, or equivalent entrance examination score. The shortlisted candidates will be considered for a written test or a personal interview (as decided).

MCET Application Process 2025

Candidates seeking admission to an undergraduate engineering degree course have to apply for TNEA. The application form can be filled out through the website of Anna University.

For the B.Tech Program:

For online mode, the candidates have to pay INR 500 (general candidates) and INR (reserved candidates).
For Offline Mode: The candidates have to pay INR 700 (general category) and INR 450 (SC/ST and OBC).
After submission of the application form, the candidates will be called for the counseling round on the basis of their marks in graduation.

For M.Tech and MCA:

The application form for TANCET can be downloaded from the official website.
Candidates have to first get registered and then fill out the form using a login ID and password obtained during the registration.
The application fee is INR 500 for the general category and INR 250 for the other categories.
