Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe Institute of Engineering and Technology is a Maharashtra-based based well-known Engineering institute that came into existence in 2009. It is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere (DBATU) and offers Undergraduate and Diploma courses in the disciplines of Engineering and Technology. The college is approved by AICTE, Director of Technical Education - Mumbai (DTE Code-6468), Government of Maharashtra, and is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (MSBTE Code-1213), and managed by Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha, Kolhapur which is administering a total of 406 education centers all over Maharashtra.

Admission to the institute’s courses is granted to aspiring candidates through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), based on their merit in the previous year's qualifying exam and score of MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) or JEE Main.

• Hostel: Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe Institute of Engineering and Technology provides a girls' hostel named Shrimati Sudhiladevi Salunkhe Girls Hostel. It is located in the college campus. There are two separate three-storey buildings with 64 well-furnished rooms, which can accommodate over 200 girls. For the girls, hostel provides well balanced, wholesome, and nutritious vegetarian food at a reasonable rate. 4/4 or 3/3 girls are accommodated in a room. And rooms are well-furnished, along with a hot water facility. There is also a study hall and recreation room with indoor games like Chess, Carom, Sapshidi and a T.V. Moreover, students can also play badminton as an outdoor game in the hostel. The hostel also has a gym and its inmates are taken for a trip each year.
