Ques. Is GATE mandatory for M.Tech CSE admission at DPGITM?
Ans. GATE is not mandatory but strongly preferred. GATE-qualified candidates get first priority in admission and are not required to appear in the university entrance test. If GATE-qualified candidates are not available to fill all seats, the remaining seats are filled by candidates without GATE scores based on merit in the MDU entrance test. GATE qualification also makes students eligible for MHRD scholarship.
Ques. What is the MHRD scholarship amount for GATE-qualified M.Tech students at DPGITM?
Ans. GATE-qualified M.Tech students admitted to AICTE-approved institutions are eligible for MHRD scholarship of approximately Rs.12,400 per month as per government norms. DPGITM facilitates this scholarship for eligible students. The scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic performance and other conditions as per AICTE/MHRD guidelines.
