Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology is a public institute which was established in the year 1986. The courses offered by the college are affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela and accredited by AICTE.

CIPET, Bhubaneswar offers 4-year B.Tech. and M. Tech programs. In addition to it, Diploma courses and PG Diploma courses are also offered by the institute. Candidates may also opt for research level Ph.d. program.

Applicants to B.Tech./ B.E. course must have passed 10+2 examination in Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics.
They have to appear in JEE-Mains to get admission in the same.
For M.Tech./ M.E. course, candidates must hold Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./ B.Sc./ B.Tech.) in an Engineering discipline.

Admission to four-year undergraduate engineering program undergraduate. the course is offered by Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology - [CIPET], Bhubaneswar. Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology - [CIPET], Bhubaneswar offers admission to two-year full-time post-graduate programs in M.Sc. and M.Tech./ M.E. courses based on fulfilment of minimum eligibility. M.Tech./ M.E. is offered in only three basic specializations namely, Plastics Engineering/ Technology, Polymer Nao-Technology and CAD/ CAM.

The minimum eligibility to apply for M.Tech. is pass in B.Tech. or B.E. and must appear in GATE entrance, while to be eligible for M.Sc, a candidate must have passed Bachelor’s program in science discipline with Chemistry as one subject.

CIPET, Bhubaneswar Application Process 2023

Students applying for B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., Diploma, PG Diploma and Ph.D. programs offered by the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology - [CIPET], Bhubaneswar must visit the official website of BPUT to get the application form.

However, to be eligible to apply, candidates will appear on respective entrance exam. The final selection of the candidates is based on merit in entrance exam as well as qualifying exam.

Candidates need to fill the form, available at the official web portal of the university.
Duly fill in the necessary details in the application form.
Submit the form to the campus with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/-

Admission:

CIPET give 90% placement. As compared to all college one of the best govt college. The minimum qualification is a 10th pass. For lateral entry 12th pass is required with the subject math, physics is compulsory. For the 10th pass entrance will the there and for lateral entry no entrance.

Experience about my college

Admission:

First, they told us about their college, then we discussed the future which this college will provide, then they asked for the documents and gave us a tour of the college. They asked me why I left the previous college and whatever reason it is, will it happens this time also. They also gave life advice. They discussed with my parents how the college will take care of everything. Half document verification had happened, due to covid. The other half of document verification will be done when the college reopened. And at last, we paid the admission fee and they gave us good hospitality.
