CMS College of Engineering and Technology is a private institute located in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The institute was established in 2009. The college is affiliated with Anna University, Tamil Nadu.
At Undergraduate level the institute offers Bachelor of Engineering degree course in five specializations. CMS College of Engineering and Technology also offers Masters of Engineering degree at PG level. The duration of UG courses is 4 years and all the disciplines under PG course are of 2 years duration.

- Applicants for ME degree course must have BE/ B.tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- For admissions, to ME courses, state-level offline entrance exam TANCET is conducted by Anna University. However, GATE scorecards are also accepted.

CMS College of Engineering and Technology BE Courses Admission 2024
For admissions into BE course, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University. Candidates who have passed HSC with 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) in PCM subjects are eligible to apply.
They must have done Class 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th from an institute located in Tamil Nadu. However, if an applicant belongs to Tamil Nadu but has passed these classes in any other states, then he/she is required to produce a “Nativity Certificate" during the counselling process.
The admission will be done through the TNEA Merit/ Rank list only. The rank list is prepared based on the marks in the PCM subjects reduced to 200 i.e. Mathematics 100, Physics +Chemistry =100. The counselling for the admission will be organized by Anna University.

- Only those candidates who have done HSC from Tamil Nadu or are native of TN are eligible to apply in TNEA.
- 5% relaxation in qualifying exam is given to backward class candidates and 10% relaxation is given to SC/ST/SCA/MBC category candidates.
- Wards of central Government employees not domiciled in this state may also apply provided their parents or guardians have been serving continuously in this state for 5 years at the time of submission of application.
CMS College of Engineering and Technology ME Courses Admission 2024
At Postgraduate level, it offers Masters of Engineering course in two disciplines. Candidates who have passed BE in the relevant field with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply.
Admission to ME is provided on the basis of the performance of the candidates in GATE/TANCET. The eligibility table is given below:-

CMS College of Engineering and Technology Application Process 2024
Candidates aspiring for admission to B.E degree course at CMS college of Engineering and Technology have to apply for TNEA. They have to follow the following steps to complete the application process.
- Go to website www.tnea.ac.in and fill the application form.
- Application fee can be paid through both online and offline mode.
- In online mode, candidates have to pay INR 500 for general candidates and for reserved candidates fee is INR 250.
- In Offline Mode of payment candidates have to pay INR 700 for general category and INR 450 if the candidate belongs to SC/ ST / OBC category.
Photocopies of the following documents should be enclosed along with the application:-
- Mark sheets of HSC and SSC (Admit card of HSC if mark sheet is not available).
- Transfer Certificate (from last institute studied).
- Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM (Permanent card / electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate).
- Nativity Certificate only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate (If applicable).
- First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration (only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate) (If applicable).
- Relevant certificates for Son / Daughter of Ex-Serviceman, Son / Daughter of Freedom Fighter, Differently Abled Person and Eminent Sports Persons (if applicable).

- Candidates will have to sit for counselling after the submission of application form.
- The Anna University will conduct the TNEA Counselling in the month of June.
- In counselling, candidates will be called in the order of their merit.
- Based on the merit and communal reservation, allotment of the branch/college chosen by the candidate will be made.
- They have to pay an initial deposit of 5000/- (1000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) by Cash or DD and produce all their original certificates when they attend counseling.
For ME courses
Admission to ME courses of the institute is based on GATE or TANCET. Based on the performance of the candidate in the exams and according to the guidelines of the Government of Tamil Nadu candidates will be allotted seats via state counseling after TANCET.
In order to apply for TANCET, candidates need to follow steps:
- Application form for TANCET can be obtained at www.annauniv.edu/tancet.
- Fill the registration form and obtain the Login id and password.
- Use this login id and password to fill the application form.
- Pay the application fee of INR 500 (INR 250 for reserved category candidates). The fee is to be paid through online mode.
Reservation
Admission to BE or ME course will be according to the guidelines of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Reservation is provided to candidates from various BC, BCM (BC Muslim), MBC & DNC, SC, SCA, and ST.

- The college has a good environment while entering to the campus as there are a lots of trees and greenery allover .
- The infrastructure and facilities are good there is gym for gym rats and football ground,basketball ground and many other sports facilities aswell
Dislikes
- Some of the faculties are worst in sense of their behaviour as well as their way of lecturing some of the faculties do not know anything just saying some nonsense.
- The management does not conduct programmes and if conducted it would be a disaster by the people they bring or the limited way of entertainment we get so the worst experience in that also

There are no entrance exams as I was joined by management seats .you can call the given number in the website for admission process and other details the benefit of reserving first is that we can get a reasonable fee structure if it gets late they would demand more fees

The admission process are very simple. The eligibility is 12th pass with average 75% marks . Application from can be available from the college.The application fees and application data's will be given detailed from the college.the semesters can be short and long it's more difficult to attend short sem exams. Because of not qualifying for the LET I decided to took a seat on any college at which point my friends come up and described about this institution. The administration deal everything nicely so, there were no trouble for me in the admission process. Simple and straight forward. And forcibly signed to Anti ragging form.

We had A good experience. In all these 2 years it's good and unforgettable memories. Also, there a lot more than that faculties because, they are very friendly, well educated. The infrastructure. Is also good enough, with all well equipment, machines and products college life is really great we are expecting. A lot more. A very nice college with covered up with awesome nature.
