BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences (BITS) is a reputed educational institution imparting quality education in the fields of Engineering and Management. It was established in 2008 at Vizag, Visakhapatnam (AP). The college is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU), Kakinada. The institute’s JNTU counselling code is BABA.
BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences offers a horde of undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in the fields of engineering and management. It currently offers B. Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Comm. Engineering and Computer Sc. & Engineering at the UG level. At the PG level, the institute offers M. Tech courses in Structural Engineering, Power Electronics & Electrical Drives, CAD/ CAM, VLSI and Computer Science & Technology. It also offers an MBA program with specialization in Finance, Marketing, and HR. - Minimum eligibility for B.Tech course is 10+2/ equivalent with PCM, min. 50% aggregate marks.

- For MBA, the candiddates must have done graduation with minimum 50% marks.
- Candidates seeking lateral entry admission to the third semester of B. Tech must have an engineering diploma of three years or a B.Sc. degree with 50% marks at the minimum.
- Candidates with a valid CAT/ MAT score can directly register for MBA counselling. Similarly, GATE qualifiers are eligible for direct counselling for M. Tech admissions.
- Candidates are selected on the basis of AP EAMCET/ PGECET/ ICET rank according to merit.
- Candidates seeking lateral entry must attend counselling for the same.
- Candidates qualifying AP EAMCET/ AP PGECET/ ICET must attend web-counselling where the candidate is allowed to select college & courses through internet facility available at their residence or by visiting a nearby Help-line Center.
- All qualified candidates must register for counselling and visit a nearby Help-line Center for documents verification before proceeding with the web-counselling process.
- Reservation is provided as per state govt. norms.

BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences offers undergraduate level engineering degree (B. Tech) programs in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Tech courses is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam. Candidates are further required to score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects. Candidates are selected on the basis of their EAMCET rank.
Prospective applicants may apply through EAMCET website, appear for the state-level entrance exam and attend its respective counselling. The mode of application and fee payment for EAMCET is online only. Candidates who clear the EAMCET entrance test only can attend the web-based counselling process of EAMCET for admission purpose.

- Candidates seeking admission to Category-B seats may pay the application fee through cash deposit made to the institute’s Andhra Bank / SBI account, the details of which are available on the institute website.
- The application fee for Category-B seats is INR 500 irrespective of the applicant’s caste/ status.
- Candidates appearing in their final year exam are also eligible to apply and will be granted provisional admission until documents are submitted within the stipulated dates.

BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences offers postgraduate level engineering degree programs (M. Tech) in the disciplines of Structural Engineering, Power Electronics & Electrical Drives, CAD/ CAM, Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) and Computer Science & Technology.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to M. Tech is a BE/ B. Tech degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks. Selection of candidates is done through AP-PGECET and its respective counselling.
Candidates applying for the M. Tech programs offered by BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences may appear for the concerned entrance exam conducted by JNTU and attend relevant counselling wherein he/she will need to enter BITS, Vizag as the preferred choice of institute. Applications for the same can be filled online, and so is the payment of fees. All admissions are done through AP-PGECET counselling unless applying under Management/ NRI quota.

BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences offers 2-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program with specializations in Human Resource, Marketing and Finance.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to this course is a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks from a recognized university or institute. Selection of candidates for the MBA program is done through JNTU counselling on the basis of AP ICET score.
Prospective candidates may visit the AP-ICET website and fill the application form online. The application fee for the same can be paid through online payment mode using credit/ debit card or internet banking.

BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences Application Process
BABA Institute of Technology & Sciences fills its seats for various courses through state level entrance and counselling. Candidates may visit their respective entrance exam websites, of APEAMCET, AP-PGECET and AP-ICET and fill the online application form. The entrance tests are usually held in the month of April-May and counselling is conducted late June onwards until mid-August. Candidates who qualify their respective entrance tests are eligible for counselling. Seats are allotted post counselling on the basis of the candidates’ entrance test rank. The application- cum- counselling process is as follows:
- Candidates seeking admission to government quota seats must fill the online application form by visiting the aforesaid websites as applicable.
- The payment of application fee for the aforementioned courses can be paid online using credit/ debit card or net-banking.
- The applicant is required to download admit cards from the respective websites as notified and appear in the entrance tests conducted for the purpose of selection.
- Candidates qualifying the entrance test must visit one of the nearest Help-line Centers with all relevant documents for verification.
- After verification of his/ documents, the candidate will receive a Blank Option Form along with a list of colleges names, courses, and their Codes.
- The applicant must write down their preferred college and course codes on priority basis. The college code for BITS, Vizag is BABA.
- In case of discrepancies, the applicant is allowed to modify his/her choice of college and course code on a given date which is notified by the authority on their official website. This marks the final opportunity for the student to exercise their options.
- The final allotment of seats according to the authority’s norms will be displayed on the official website. The candidates whose names are on the Merit list must download their allotment order and report though Self-reporting system/ at college for payment of admission fees and to book his/her seat.

Self-attested photocopies of the following documents must be submitted at the time of counselling/ admission:
- Hall ticket of EAMCET/ PGECET/ ICET
- Rank Card of EAMCET/ PGECET/ ICET
- SSC / Intermediate or Equivalent marks memo
- Study/ Bonafide Certificate from III to X Class and Intermediate (10+2)
- Caste Certificate for SC/ ST/ BC/ Minorities (if applicable)
- Income Certificate issued by MRO (for students claiming fee exemption)
- PH/ NCC/ CAP/ Sports and Games Certificates (if applicable)
- Transfer Certificate.
Candidates will be issued a receipt of Certificates at Help-line Centers after Documents Verification. Those seeking admission to Category ‘B’ seats may apply directly through the institute website by filling the online application form. The application fee can be paid using online payment modes such as card payment, internet banking etc. Applicants for Category B seats do not need to attend EAMCET counselling.
