Ques. Is there any entrance exam for admission to Diploma in Electrical Engineering at AITS Udaipur?
Ans. No, there is no entrance exam for Diploma admission at AITS Udaipur or any polytechnic college in Rajasthan. Admission is entirely merit-based on your Class 10 board marks. The DTE Rajasthan prepares a common merit list based on Class 10 aggregate percentage, and seat allotment is done through online counselling at hte.rajasthan.gov.in. You simply need to apply online, fill your college and branch preferences, and wait for the merit-based allotment.
Ques. What is the total fee for the Diploma in Electrical Engineering at AITS Udaipur, and are there any hidden charges?
Ans. The total mandatory tuition fee for the 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering is Rs. 1,05,000 (Rs. 35,000 per year). Additional optional charges include transportation (Rs. 11,000-21,000/year depending on route) and hostel (Rs. 65,000/year for triple-seated or Rs. 75,000/year for double-seated rooms). For the 2026-27 batch, free bus facility and free uniform are provided to all admitted students. Examination fees, development fees, and other miscellaneous charges are not included in the tuition fee and are charged separately.
Ques. Can a student from outside Rajasthan take admission to the Diploma programme at AITS Udaipur?
Ans. Students from outside Rajasthan can apply for management quota seats at AITS Udaipur, as state quota seats in the DTE Rajasthan centralized process are predominantly reserved for Rajasthan domicile holders. Management quota admissions are handled directly by the college. Students from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and other states can contact AITS admissions office directly. Note that institutional scholarships based on percentage are also available for students from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh through separate scholarship schemes offered by AITS.

Ans. Yes, the Diploma in Electrical Engineering from AITS Udaipur is fully recognised as it is affiliated with BTER (Board of Technical Education Rajasthan) and approved by AICTE. The BTER diploma certificate is the same whether you study at a government or private polytechnic in Rajasthan. It is accepted for all Rajasthan government technical posts requiring a diploma qualification, and also qualifies you for lateral entry into B.Tech 2nd year through the LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test) conducted by Rajasthan Technical University (RTU).
