Alpha College of Engineering Chennai Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

The college offers a B.Tech course in two specializations namely, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Information Technology and B.E course in 4 specializations namely, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. Candidates are admitted on the basis of their performance in the 10+2 examination followed by TNEA counseling conducted by Anna University, Chennai.

ACE B.Tech & B.E Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must have passed the 10+2 examination in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. The minimum marks required are 50% for the general category. Relaxation of 5% and 10% is given to the reserved category candidates.  

ACE B.Tech & B.E Selection Criteria

• ACE B.Tech & B.E: The merit of class 12 examination for direct admission and through TNEA Counselling.
• ACE B.Tech (Lateral) & B.E (Lateral): Merit in qualifying examination followed by counseling conducted by DoTE, Tamilnadu.

Key Points:

• Candidates applying for Lateral Entry admissions must have passed a Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training. 
• Candidates who have passed B.Sc from a UGC recognized university under 10+2+3 pattern and have studied Mathematics at degree level as core subject are also eligible for Lateral Entry admissions.

After merit calculation, students will be called for the TNEA round. TNEA Counselling will be conducted to offer a seat in different specializations with respect to the TNEA cutoff.

The college also offers a full-time MBA program for the duration of two years. Candidates seeking admission can apply on the basis of TANCET.

ACE MBA Eligibility Criteria 

The exam conducting bodies invites eligible candidates for counselling where candidates are supposed to register online to take part in the admission process. The candidates satisfying any one of the given criteria are considered eligible:

• Passed academic years under 10+2+3/4 years pattern or
• 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years, Or
• B.E. /B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm or
• 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 Years Diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.

ACE MBA Selection Criteria

The candidates are selected for admission to the ACE MBA program based on their TANCET exam score. The candidates who qualify for the examination are then called for the counseling round for the final admission.

• Candidates applying under Management Quota can apply directly at the college for admission to MBA program.
• Those candidates who are appearing in their final exams or their results are awaited can also apply for the course.
• Seats will be allotted on the basis of category-wise cut off in TANCET.
