ASIET Admission FAQs
Ques. Are there any seats available under NRI/Management quota?
Ans. Yes, ASIET does have a certain percentage of seats reserved under the NRI quota for B. Tech and certain other courses. The seats are meant specifically for students whose parents are non-resident Indians or work abroad. The admission is mainly on the basis of academic eligibility, i.e., they have to fulfill certain qualifying criteria like being at least a 10+2 holder for B. Tech, as opposed to ranks obtained in entrance exams like KEAM. However, they do not compromise on academic levels, so that NRI students blend with the general student community and fulfill academic levels for a particular course of study.
Ques. How does the counselling and selection process work?
Ans. The counselling and selection procedure of ASIET is well-organised. After the completion of the online application form and ensuring eligibility, the students are selected on the basis of their entrance examination results, viz., KEAM, LET, KMAT, MAT, GATE, and LBS MCA. The selected students take part in the counselling session and seat allotment procedure, in which the selected students select their course of choice. Along with the counselling procedure, it also requires the verification of original documents such as mark sheets, information sheets, and certificates. After the verification of the documents, the student has to pay the due amount to select the branch of their choice. If the student is from an outstation center, the facility of virtual counselling is also available.
Ques. Is the admission process strictly regulated?
Ans. Yes, ASIET follows university and government norms strictly, and all admissions are sanctioned by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Students have to adhere strictly to the deadlines and complete all formalities in time, which includes submission of original certificates, completion of entrance exam related formalities, document verification, and payment of fees, among others. By following this system, all students are admitted fairly, and the institution remains compliant with its regulatory and government requirements.
Ques. What support does ASIET provide during admission?
Ans. ASIET offers thorough information to the student regarding the admission procedure. The admission office helps the students at every step of the admission procedure, from online registration to counseling, verification, and fee remittance. The students can clear their queries regarding eligibility, entrance tests, seat allocation, and other documents required by the administration. It seems that the students find it useful, as it helps them clear their confusion regarding the admission procedure, which involves many steps, especially for new students or those from outside the state of
