ARM College of Engineering and Technology Kanchipuram Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Established in 2008, ARM College of Engineering & Technology is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to Anna University and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

For admission, ARM CET offers B.E and B.Tech programs at UG level, At PG level, it offers M.E and MBA programs. Students can apply to these courses by filling an online application form or by downloading it. The application form is available on the official portal of the college.

Selection of students for UG programs is done through TNEA Counselling based on the score obtained in 10+2. While for PG programs, candidates need to appear in the TANCET exam followed by TANCET Counselling. However, those who have a valid GATE score are exempted from taking the TANCET exam.

Candidates can select either of the specializations offered under B.E program as shown in the table. Whereas, there is only one specialization in B.Tech i.e Information Technology.

B.E Specializations

ARM CET BE/B.Tech Eligibility 

To apply for PG programs, candidates must have passed HSC or its equivalent with a minimum 50% marks (45% for Backward categories and 40% for SC/ST/SCA/MBC categories) in relevant subjects.

ARM CET BE/B.Tech Selection Criteria 

• Students are selected through TNEA Counselling based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam i.e. 10+2. 
• In order to take part in the counselling round, students need to first register on the TNEA portal.
• Once the registration is complete, they have to visit TNEA Facilitation Center (TFC) for document verification.
• After successful verification, a merit list will be published.
• Students whose names will be mentioned on this merit list have to actively take part in the counselling process conducted by Anna University.
• During this counselling, applicants have to pick ARM College of Engineering & Technology as their preferred college.
• Also, they need to select the course in which they want to get admission.
• Based on these choices and rank obtained, seats are allotted to eligible students.
• Students who are satisfied with the allotment need to report at the college to confirm the seat by paying a required amount of fees.

There are 3 specializations in M.E program and they are VLSI, Computer Science & Engineering and Engineering Design.

ARM CET PG Eligibility

The minimum eligibility for M.E and MBA is mentioned beneath.

Eligibility for M.E

• Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech in the relevant field that they are applying for with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved categories).
• Students who have completed a 5 year integrated M.Sc course with specialization in IT or CS related major courses can apply for M.E with specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering.

Eligibility for MBA

To Apply for MBA, candidates must have passed any degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

ARM CET PG Selection Criteria 

• Students are selected for the PG programs based on the entrance exam called as TANCET, conducted by Anna University. 

• Applicants have to apply online for this test on the TANCET website by paying INR 500/- (INR 250/- for Reserved categories).
• Post result declaration, the concerned authority will prepare a merit list containing names of all the qualified students.
• Such candidates need to register themselves online for participating in the TANCET Counselling.
• Upon successful registration, students need to visit the counselling center for document verification.
• After verification, they have to fill the choice of course and college (ARM CET).
• Seat will be allotted to students based on their choices and rank.
• If satisfied with the allotment then candidates need to report at the allotted college to confirm the seat by paying fees towards seat acceptance.
• GATE qualified students need not write TANCET. They can directly appear for the counselling process conducted by the University.

1. Visit the official website of the ARM College of Engineering and Technology.
2. Select ‘Apply Online’ or ‘Application Download’ option available under Admission tab.
3. Now proceed to fill the form with correct details.
4. After filling, click on the Apply tab or send the downloaded application to the college.

NOTE - Students have to apply separately for TNEA Counselling and TANCET Exam & Counselling on their respective websites.

• XII Standard Examination Registration Number
• XII Standard Mark Sheet
• Parents’ Annual Income Details
• Community/Caste Certificates and details
• Scholarship Requested details (if applicable)

For PG Programs

• X standard marks sheet
• XII standard marks sheet
• Qualifying Degree Certificate, Provisional Mark Sheets, etc.
• Scorecard of Entrance Exam taken (if applicable)
• Caste Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate from the last college/institute studied.

Based on the academic performance and economic needs of a student, the college provides scholarships. If the student requests it and has consistent academic performance, ARM CET issues a bonafide certificate for providing educational loans by nationalised banks to the students according to their eligibility criteria. 

The college also provides an option to pay the fees in installments which eventually decreases the burden of students and their parents.
