Vidyadhiraja College of Physical Education and Research was founded by the Mahatma Education Society’s in Raigad and was permitted by the Government of Maharashtra to start Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) course from the academic year 1991-92. MES’s Vidyadhiraja College of Physical Education and Research was the first institution who got the approval from the University of Mumbai to get started Physical Education in a building and playground which was owned by the Society. The college was established with main objective is to develop competence to teach subjects of his/her specialization on the basis of accepted principle of learning and teaching in the context of 10+2+3 curriculum pattern.
