The three institutes IIT Madras, CMC, Vellore, and SCTIMST jointly offer full-time programs of M.Tech in Clinical engineering with a duration of 2.5 years. 

SCTIMST M.Tech Eligibility

• The candidate should have completed B.E/B.Tech from any recognized University.
• They should have appeared for GATE (AE, CE, CH, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PI, TF, and XE) and have a valid score.

SCTIMST M.Tech Selection Criteria

Selection is granted on the basis of GATE scores, screening test followed by a Personal Interview (PI).

How to Apply for GATE?

 Candidates can apply online by following these steps: 

1. Visit GOAPS Portal to register yourself. Successful registration will provide you GOAPS Credentials. 
2. Login with the generated credentials and fill the application form with personal, communication, and academic details.

The institute offers a full-time 3 year MD course in Transfusion Medicine. Candidates who want to pursue higher education in the field of Transfusion Medicine after the completion of the MBBS degree can apply for this course. The selection to MD will be granted based on National Level Entrance Examination. 

SCTIMST MD Eligibility Criteria

SCTIMST MD Selection Criteria

Admission to MD is based on the results of NEET-PG followed by a merit list declared by the institute.

SCTIMST MPH Eligibility Criteria

• Medical graduates (MBBS), Dental graduates (BDS), Graduates of AYUSH (BAMS, BNYS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS), B.Tech or BE (Any Branch), and graduates of four-year degree programs are eligible to apply for MPH Programme.
• The upper age limit for this program is 40 years.

SCTIMST MPH Selection Criteria

• The candidates are evaluated on the basis of educational qualifications, professional experience, relevant to the field of public health, followed by a written test and interview.

SCTIMST offers M.Ch. full-time course of 3 years with 4 specializations, DM (Doctorate of medicine) with a duration of 1 year and PDCC (Post Doctoral Certificate Courses) with a duration of 3 years in 5 specializations each as super-specialty programs.

SCTIMST Super-Specialty Courses Eligibility Criteria

• For DM, the candidates are required to have an MD degree in the respective field that they are seeking admission to in the DM Program from any Indian University recognized by MCI or DNB.
• For MCh in Cardiovascular course, the candidates should have completed MS in General Surgery from an Indian University recognized by MCI/DNB.
• For 5 year course of MCh in neurosurgery, the candidate should have completed MBBS and one-year post-MBBS residency/Senior house surgency in General Surgery
• For the Super-specialty Nursing program, G.N.M. or B.Sc Nursing degree is required. 
• For the DPH Program, the candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years of work experience after MBBS. 
• Candidates must have a 10+2 level degree to apply for Diploma courses. 

SCTIMST Super-Specialty Courses Selection Criteria

• To get admission to MCh, DM, and PDCC, the candidates are selected based on the marks scored out of 100 based on the following criteria:
  • 10 marks for MBBS.
  • 15 marks for MD/MS/DNB
  • 30 marks for Theory (Written) Entrance Examination
  • 30 marks for Departmental Clinical/Practical and Viva Voce
  • 15 marks for the Final Interview
• For DPH and Diploma programs, candidates are selected based on the score in written tests followed by personal interviews. 
• The admission to Superspecialty nursing programs is merit-based.

SCTIMST PhD Eligibility Criteria

For PhD, M.Sc/M.Tech any other postgraduate degree program of minimum 2 years or MBBS in any medical stream recognized by MCI.

• Students should have a consistently good academic record with 60% marks in undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. Medical Graduates applying for Ph.D. in Medical Sciences should have 60% marks in MBBS.

SCTIMST PhD Selection Criteria

• Students have to give a written test followed by an interview to get admitted to the M.Phil program. The institute then declares a provisional list of selected candidates and after verification of documents, admission is granted.
• Selection to PhD is based on the performance in the written test and interview. The candidates also have to submit their research proposal and statement of purpose for taking up a research career.
