The institute offers UG program viz. MBBS, BDS, BPT, and BSc in Nursing Each UG course has intake capacity of 150 students.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Zoology or Botany or Biology from an MCI approved institute are considered eligible to apply for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses.
Admission to MBBS course is given on the basis of the applicant’s merit in NEET-UG conducted by CBSE. Whereas admission to BDS, BPT, BSc in Nursing is given strictly on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination.

Candidates who have completed BSc in Nursing or any equivalent degree course are considered eligible to get admission to MSc in Nursing course. Similarly, Applicants with BPT Degree are eligible to apply for MPT course and those who have completed B.Pharm course are considered eligible to apply for admission to the M.Pharm program.
Admission to any PG program viz. MSc in Nursing, MPT, and M.Pharm courses is given only on the basis of the candidate’s merit in the Degree program.

Candidates have to visit the website of the Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and fill up the application form online for BSc, B.Pharm, BPT, MPT, M.Pharm, and MSc courses. The application form is to be submitted separately for each course. For MBBS and BDS courses, they have to apply online for NEET-UG on its official website.
