Ques. What are the four specialisations available under BPMT at LTMMC, and how many seats are there in each?
Ans. LTMMC offers BPMT in four specialisations: Radiography (8 seats), Operation Theatre Technology (8 seats), Cardiology Technology (2 seats), and Perfusion Technology (2 seats). The total intake is 20 seats. Radiography and Operation Theatre are the most popular specialisations due to higher seat availability and career prospects.
Ques. Is hostel accommodation available for BPMT students at LTMMC?
Ans. As per the official 2026-27 admission brochure, hostel accommodation is currently not available for BPMT students at LTMMC, as all hostels are fully occupied. Students are advised to arrange their own accommodation in the Sion area. The college administration is working to identify additional accommodation facilities.
Ques. What is the admission process for BPMT at LTMMC? Is there an entrance exam?
Ans. Admission to BPMT at LTMMC is merit-based, using HSC (12th standard) marks. There is no separate entrance exam. Candidates must fill the application form within the prescribed timeline, and seats are allotted based on merit, category, and specialisation preference. No direct admissions are permitted at the college level.
Ques. Can SC/ST students get full fee waiver for BPMT at LTMMC?
Ans. Yes, SC and ST category students are eligible for full tuition fee freeship through the MAHADBT portal (mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in). They pay only Rs. 3,060 per year in non-tuition fees (admission fee, library fee, locker charges, gymkhana fee). Students who do not apply for freeship will be required to pay tuition fees as per the Open category.

Ans. BPMT graduates from LTMMC are well-placed for careers in government hospitals, private hospitals, diagnostic centres, and cardiac care units. Radiography graduates can work as radiographers or X-ray technicians; Operation Theatre graduates as OT technicians; Cardiology graduates as cardiac technicians; and Perfusion graduates as perfusionists in cardiac surgery teams. Many graduates also pursue higher education (MSc in the respective specialisation) or government jobs through competitive exams.
