GMC Latur provides scholarships and financial assistance to MBBS students from different caste backgrounds. GMC Latur Scholarship for SC students 

This scholarship is given under the Social Justice and Special Assistance department of GMC Latur. This scholarship covers 100% of tuition and examination fees and provides a maintenance allowance to eligible SC students. It covers two scholarships and one freeship offered by the government which are as follows:

• Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship 
• Post-Matric Scholarship for persons with disability 
• Post Matric Tuition fee and examination fee 

GMC Latur Scholarship for SC students Eligibility Criteria 

The students belonging to this category can apply for the scholarship only if they qualify for the eligibility criteria as follows:

• Family annual income shall be less than or equal to INR 2,50,000.
• The student must belong to the SC or Navbouddha category.
• The student must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination.
• Only one failure is allowed in the complete curriculum.
• The student must be a resident of Maharashtra.

GMC Latur Scholarship for ST students 

GMC Latur Tribal Development Department offers this scholarship to ST students. Eligible ST students are paid a maintenance allowance and a 100% tuition fee waiver. This scheme covers the following scholarships offered by the government:

• Post Matric Scholarship Scheme (Government of India)
• Tuition Fee & Exam Fee for Tribal Students (Freeship)

GMC Latur Scholarship for ST students Eligibility Criteria 

The students belonging to the ST category can apply for the scholarship only if they qualify for the eligibility criteria as follows:

• If a student fails continuously for two years, he or she will not be eligible for the scholarship.
• The annual family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000.
• Students must pass the previous year's examination to avail of the scholarship benefit for the coming year.

GMC Latur Scholarship for VJNT, OBC and SBC students 

This scholarship is available for the VJNT, OBC, and SBC students. Students in these categories get the maintenance allowance and a 100% tuition fee waiver. It is managed by the Department of VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare under GMC Latur. It covers the Post-Matric Scholarship offered by the Government of India.

GMC Latur Scholarship for VJNT, OBC and SBC students Eligibility Criteria 

The students belonging to VJNT, OBC, and SBC categories can apply for the scholarship only if they qualify for the eligibility criteria as follows:

• Annual family income should not exceed INR 1,00,000.
• Applicants must be a resident of Maharashtra & belong to the specified categories.
• If a student fails in an academic year, the scholarship will be discontinued for the coming years.
• The student should have a compulsory attendance of 75%.
• Only 2 boys from the same family are allowed to be the beneficiaries of the scholarship, however, there is no bar for the girl children. 

GMC Latur Scholarship for EBC students

GMC Latur scholarship for EBC students is given under “The Directorate of Medical Education and Research”. The scholarship can be availed by MBBS and BDS students. They will be entitled to a 50% tuition and development allowance. Students will get a hostel allowance of INR 30,000 per year. This scheme covers the following scholarships:

• Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme
• Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance 

GMC Latur Scholarship for EBC students Eligibility Criteria 

The students belonging to the EBC category can apply for the scholarship only if they qualify for the eligibility criteria as follows:

• Annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 8,00,000.
• Candidate must have taken admission through the General or SEBC category 
• Hostel Allowance is available for students whose parents are registered laborers.

GMC Latur Maintenance Allowance 

GMC Latur maintenance allowance is available for SC/ST and VJNT students. The allowance is offered to students studying in professional courses under the “Social Justice and Special Assistance & Tribal Development Department of GMC Latur. If the course duration is 4-5 years, students are given INR 700 per month. The students can apply for this scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• The annual income of the student’s family must be less than or equal to INR 2,50,000.
• The student should be a scholarship holder of the Government of India.
• A student admitted to a professional course and residing in a government/institute hostel.

GMC Latur Scholarship for students of Ex-Servicemen

GMC Latur offers a scholarship for the wards of Ex-servicemen. This scheme is available for students of Maharashtra only. A 100% fee waiver is allowed for the admission, semester, library, and laboratory fees. The student should be the son/daughter/wife/widow of the ex-servicemen.
