Deccan Medical College offers admission to its MBBS program primarily based on NEET UG scores, supplemented by the EAMCET exam, which is scored out of 160 marks. Eligibility requires a 50% aggregate in 10+2 board exams, including a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The admission process involves a merit list from EAMCET scores, followed by counseling. The college is known for its quality education and facilities, including a sports complex and gym.
Its faculty is highly qualified, with a supportive teaching approach, and is considered one of the best in the state. The MBBS program does not guarantee specific placements, but PG students receive job offers from hospitals with salaries ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakhs per month. The college's fee structure, regulated by the Medical Council of India and Telangana Government, has three categories: Category A fees are INR 60,000 per year, Category B fees range from INR 2-2.5 lakhs, and Category C fees are INR 5.5 lakhs, with management quota fees being INR 6-11 lakhs annually.
Hostel rent is approximately INR 5,000 monthly. MBBS students receive a stipend of Rs. 30,000; however, the one-year rotatory internship, though valuable, is unpaid. The college provides strong placement support for PG students, with affiliations to Esra Hospital and Owaisi Hospital for diverse internship exposure. While the college does not offer scholarships, students can benefit from Telangana Government's fee reimbursement program and bank loans, especially for economically disadvantaged backgrounds, based on income, caste, and merit.
Central scholarships are also available for eligible students.
