- Student Diversity, Supportive staff, Peer Support (academic & emotionally) Vibrant social life, nothing less than a dream living here, the University is directly located in front of the lake which looks amazing in summer.
Dislikes
- It is way too expensive, building social circle is bit of a hasle, the area does not have many Indian restaurants and it is sometimes very tough during winters to attend classes. Not many Indians live here
- I searched facebook Marketplace for rental units and there are many listed there for lease
- It was quite easy for me to secure one
- my monthly rent was 1000 CAD including all the utilities
- Based on my experience, I would say start finding rental units as early as possible so that you don't risk your accommodation.
- I live just 10 min away from campus and it's very close to downtown too.
I felt it was one of the best for the course I wanted to do and apart from that the city was closer to Toronto where most of the job opportunities are.
Parents went there. Was originally in the con-Ed program, one of few in the province. It was far away from home while being less than a day?s travel. Cost of living was much lower than home, and it had a vibrant queer community.
