Likes
- I like the academic structure of the college. The grades are distributed almost equally throughout the semester which makes it easier to achieve a decent grade.
Dislikes
- A concerning factor is that Conestoga offers admissions regardless of academic background and competency levels. There isn't much competition among peers.
Course Curriculum

- The best part was that most professors were industry professionals working in decision making roles.
- They brought the corporate insights that further helped us to look and understand things from a broader perspective.
Admission Experience
- The choice was clear for me because the program had courses aligned to my goals. However for the institute i did not have much choice. Graduating from a Tier-3 college, it was very difficult to get in to a university.
- Undergraduate degree minimum of 4 years. No tests required.
Faculty

- Classes are usually 10-30. They are very approachable.
- Dr Ishan Abeywardena, highly qualified and welcoming. Also Mr. Phillip Brand
Campus Life

- Multiple campuses with a variety of facilities. Most of the campuses were smaller however i was in the main campus. A lot of different clubs based on culture and interests.
Part Time Jobs
- Part time jobs are available both on and off campus, most jobs are minimum wage as per provincial laws. Mine was 19.65 per hour as IT Service Helpdesk Technician. Other on campus jobs were 16.55 per hour and some were higher.
- Usually walk ins and online job portals. Maximum allowed right now is 24 hrs/week. On campus jobs have much competition so i would say very difficult.
Placement

- Do not know about the specific stats but it definitely is hard to get a job that aligns with the course outcomes.
- Per set expectation the salary range would be 45-60k starting.
- Networking or online job portals for sure. No campus recruitment whatsoever.
Accommodation

- I found my accommodation on Facebook marketplace. Rent per month was 640 cad including utilities (water and electricity bill).
Exams
- No exams necessary. An application and a Statement of purpose should suffice.
Fees
- It was 38,000 CAD for 4 semesters.
