  • As far as Well, as the My batch-mates  were already experienced, and they already had their their educational experiences as well as their professional experiences in their own domain and in my class around 70% for Indians only and 10% were like Philippines and the mixed ones and other 10% or a 15% for Canadians.
  • Total number of students in my class were around 30 and we were having two batches for the same program and 30 to 32 students per class The timings were quite good in the second semester in the first semester evening classes for the airport in the second semester they were only like the morning classes as well as we have to go to the college for just two days or next three days.
  • The teaching style here is so good that you will not feel any burden because you don’t have to learn. You just have to practically implement whatever they teach you so for me the level of education was really good, that was to the point short crisp and not just to learn and learn and learn.

Admission Experience

  • I only applied at Conestoga College at Kitchener campus as that was the biggest campus they were having with all the facilities in it and almost all the faculties were there with there separate departments in it. I took a Computer application development program which was very good to be in and moreover worked with latest technologies for example React js , spring boot etc.
  • This college was having the course best suited for me and the eligibility criteria was also very straight forward and moreover I was getting Co-Op options too after my studies from college itself. This was very helpful and important for me to choose and to apply for . The program for which I was selected for was very advanced and was practically teaching me latest trends in industry.
  • I applied for September intake just because of part time jobs availability as after this in next intakes usually there is a drop in job market due to extreme weather so jobs are jot much for newcomers, so people who usually come to canada  they prefer September intake only so as I did in my case to choose September and also many new and important courses are only available in September intake only.

  • So if we talk about the two students ratio for each 30 students there were two teachers and above that there was a student council admissions office so the issue was quite good.
  • They usually handle the students very well and whenever we ask for something or any doubt we had their usual were there to solve that But the thing was none of the second team member help the students to get the time of the full-time job they just show you the market trends and what exactly you need to improve in you so that you can get a job really easily but they won’t let you introduce to any of the firms or any opportunities so that you can get a job from them

Campus Life

8

  • so while I was studying in the campus, they were a lot of major festivals, and the popular events were being organized by different college committee especially the Student committee for example of basketball and the football championship was organized by them and we had a holy celebration Diwali celebration as well as after this semester ends, we had a pub night we had a ball.

Part Time Jobs

  • Getting an on campus job seems easy but is not that easy so students prefer to work part time in off campus jobs where they get to work 24 hours a week maximum. Bow a days Federal pay rate is going up to CAD$18 per hour. Which is quite good. For campus part time job there are very few positions open like 2-3 vacancies for the whole college to apply for. From that they choose candidates and the while process takes a month at-least. Moreover these positions are for a limited time period for example just for 4 months.
  • See the process is pretty straightforward: you go to stores , get resumes printed and distribute them. But doing this nothing is gonna happen. You  have to talk to the store managers, influence them and then there is a chance you get one. Otherwise we have to find a strong reference for the job. Now as I am into the system, I know that referring to a friend  is very easy here and helping him to get a job too. Usually students apply at grocery stores , supermarkets , dolarama stores etc.

Placement

  • Once you graduate there are ample of full time jobs available after that. The field and your domain is decisive to get a job but yes there are good jobs and they are high paying too.
  • After graduation generally everyone gets into a fulltime job in their fields just one has to make some efforts to find one l because its not like India where college will conduct internal placements for you. We are responsible for our career here. We have to find job by ourselves.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • So while I was studying, I preferred for off-campus accommodations, which were really cheap for me I guess and it was near the college so it was the same as that on campus Accommodation but just the one thing was not there that the food which in on campus Accommodation is provided by the college but here you have to make your own food you have to prep that and all, but the monthly rent was really really low as we compared with the  on campus I was paying around like $500 in a month but if I would have been in the on campus.
  • Accommodation rent was around $800 and but my rent was around 500+ we can say the hundred for the utility bill so total 600 was there just one thing I would like to say is that you have to be around the campus every time when you find a room for you at the Accommodation that should be near the campus because because you can save your transportation fees also.

Exams

  • I gave the ilets exam and scored 8777 bands i.e 8 in speaking , each in listening, writing , reading so I got direct admission into my program without any interview or any new complications.
  • I prepared an SOP just to convey my message that I was interested into that college and specifically into this program only to convince the international admissions office here .

Fees

  • $9000 was my fees which was a semester-wise fees and it included all miscellaneous fees , auxiliary fees , transportation charges , student card , health insurance card and many more.
  • It also included the frosh kit fees around $70 which we can remove as per our choice and moreover we had e-books and physical books fees too which was included in this only.

Scholarship

  • No, in my course there was no such scholarship options available, we were not given any option to reduce our fees.
  • As an international student you have to pay your fees fully but they can make installments for that if we plead for this in writing. In my class also or in my friend circle no one was having scholarships even for the optional co-op we had to give extra $600
