What Students Say
Likes
- As I mentioned earlier, Concordia is one of the best universities in Canada. This was one of the factors that drove me to accept the offer letter. The second one was. It is one of the least expensive universities to do a master's.
- Concordia is one of the best universities in Canada, with highly qualified professors. Apart from that, in Concordia, we have a lot of diversity among students as well as among professors.
- Concordia is home to students from around the world, like Europeans, Asians, South Americans, etc. There are many organizations in Concordia that help students in many different ways, such as different student organizations and schemes for helping students financially.
Dislikes
- As pros and cons go hand in hand. Where international community takes part in diversity, also sometimes international students create environment where there is no chance of growth.
- Out of all international students, the majority are from India. There are some moments in university, when the only thing you are thinking about is your grades.
- Hard work is good but if you are cheating in the exams just for grades that I feel is partiality with the students who actually worked hard for the grades.
Required Exams for Admission
My overall experience at the university was amazing, connected with people from around the world. I also got a chance for personal growth. Although I didn't have confidence issues when I came here, being in university helped me boost my confidence to another level.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum and academics are really good, and they are taught by highly professional professors.
Faculty
The ratio of students to faculty is very good. Faculty and staff are very friendly and helpful. They don't mind if you ask the same questions every time; if you are not confident enough, you can meet them personally by booking an appointment before hand.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the university is very good. Every building is very tidy and sanitized almost every day. There are two campuses for the university; one is in downtown and the other is on the outskirts of the city. The university has also provided commuter service from one campus to the other.
Placement
There are various opportunities for students to get hired by top class companies in Canada as well as in United States.
Accommodation
Montreal is known as a student city. So the accommodation here are very feasible and you can easily find place to live on market place.
Exams
For admission I gave IELTS exam and Score 7 bands overall. For Concordia you don't need GRE. I did my bachelors from Baba Banda Singh Bahadur engineering college and had CGPA of 9.10. For the admission, you have to submit a Statement of Purpose in which you have to state your achievements and goals and explain why admission to the university can help boost your career. Academic references are also required as part of the admissions process, and if you are working at another place, those are also required. I didn't have any rounds of interviews, but interviews are part of admission if you want to pursue a thesis-based master's. where you have to choose the professor under whom you want to do your research work.
Fees
32000.
Scholarship
No I didn't received or applied for any scholarship.
