Lambton College Courses and Fees 2025

• It was a mix of both. As we were required to submit a deliverable/assignment every day.
• They have an inbuilt plagiarism checker. Which is positive and every submission is checked for AI and graded accordingly. Sometimes, some students fail for having 70% ai in their work.
• Average number of students is 30 and 40 at max.
• There are a number of Indian students. In my program there are approx. 50-60 students.

• For my program:
  • Each semester was around $8000 with $500 variable. This includes all, the student support fees, co-op guidance fees and misc.
  • And the last semester, in my case, the WIL project had a fee of $2700.
  • For the first year, the whole fee has to be paid in advance, even before reaching CANADA, and then the student can pay by semester as well. Or you can look for scholarship or tuition fee aid/assistance.
• For a single person, away from college accommodation, $500-$700/month could be an average rent (sharing a room with one other person). Single room rent can go as high as $1100/month. All of these prices include utilities, not wifi. Like water, gas, and electricity.
• For transportation, students are eligible to get a TTC pass, which costs around $130/month. In that way, students can travel unlimited times on the TTC vehicles.
• Regular expense: if you order food, I am a vegetarian so prices could be between $30 and $50 for a one-time meal. Quantity is generous.

• In few subjects we scratched surface of several Data Management, Manipulation and Report Generation Techniques but not enough practically. First term was all PPTs and theories.
• The faculty they have hired are working for Lambton part time and they kept on their own professional journey on so they brought some fresh insights of workplace and canadian work culture. That was all industrial exposure. We were expecting more Professional conferences and corporate visits but the college did nothing.
• 4 Days a week (Lectures duration: Min 2 to max 4 hrs) one or two lectures depending on professors availability
• 40 Students all International(Majority from India, 3 from Napal and 2 from Ghana)

• 17K CAD for one year. College has reduced it to approximately 14K CAD seeing less flow of international students

• I found my accommodation through online rental websites, local facebook groups and agents. The main challenges were intense competition and limited affordable options near campus. I recommend starting early and exploring multiple platforms for the best results, even Facebook Marketplace and community groups.

• Well the course starts with easy subjects at the beginning and the level got tough with each semester, i would say the last one was the toughest one as we have to submit project and give interviews.
• Mine is technical course so i had to learn alot and most of the things are tough so it took some time to grab it, there were 2-3 classes in a day and for 4 days in a week. 25 students were there, all were indian
   

• The total fees is 22000 canadian dollars. Approximately 8k-10k per semester, there were 4 semester overall and i didnt opt for hostel so i lived as a paying guest paying 500 rent per month and adding the transport and grocery is like 1200 per month.
• The fees is charged semester wise. As i mentioned it is 1200 including each and every cost of living.
   

• Search methods - Marketplace, Kijiji, or friends.
• Challenges - Be careful before moving into any place, as the environment of the house and the company you keep matters the most, especially when you are away from home.
• Recommendation - Find a Srilankan or Chinese house owner as they give you good amenities in the house like wifi and other utilities and cheaper rent than an Indian house owner. (experience may differ for individuals.)

Yes, as in Lambton you needed to do an internship last semester to graduate and recently I have just started my coop.

For 1st and 2nd year I paid around $18000. For 3rd term, it was around $9000. For the 4th term, it depends, if you are eligible for a co-op and get one there is no fee. If you aren't eligible for co-op in that case you have to pay around 2600 for WIL.

My program is really a good program and it's a well-designed course academically.
