My Sheridan College experience

Likes

Learning Commons and Library Services.
Clean and maintained Athletic Centre.
Almost every classroom is equiped with Projectors

Dislikes

Some professors teach as if they’re just there to read off the slides and leave.
The college’s co-op/internship portal isn’t great — if you’re applying through Sheridan’s co-op system, you often have to apply twice: once on the portal and again on the employer’s career website.
Student services are not very efficient. (Including the Office of the Registrar: for complex queries, your only option is to email, and it can take 3–4 business days to get a response.)

Course Curriculum

I would describe the difficulty level as Medium but it really depends on how you handle all the assignments and how you manage your time. There are courses or subjects which were purely based on Theory and had no practicals but some of those courses were the building blocks for computer science.
Most Positive aspect of the course : It touched most of the areas in computer science, such as distributed computing, artificial intelligence, Linear Algebra, DSA, Cloud infrastructure, etc.
Most Negative aspect of the course: The way of teaching of professors can really make or break your experience in a particular niche. I would suggest not just depending on the professor to understand a particular topic.
Starting of Classes can range between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Average Students : 30-40. At trafalgar campus in oakville there were 40 percent of students that were indian.

Per semester – Almost 10k CAD (for international students), which includes every fee, including tuition, gym, etc.
Fees are charged semester-wise.
Monthly expense is highly dependent on your rent. Expect an approximate expense of about 1200-1500 CAD a month (Assuming your monthly rent is around 700-750 CAD a month), which includes everything from grocery, rent, phone bills, etc.

Overall studying at Sheridan college is a good experience it has some good staff and facilities, it is enriched with good infrastructure and amenities for its students. Main thing is that they rely more on practical knowledge which is more helpful in actual working environment.

It is the best as it covers all various aspects of programming also it has done of practical knowledge to practice. It covers everything from Java, web development to designing .

It has one of the most valuable environment to study and also focus more on education rather than considering fees. Also it has high probability of getting good campus placements. SOP, LOR should clearly indicate why you choose this college and course and also mention your future plans of coming back to India
