  • The Master of Advanced Health Services Management is an innovative course designed to inspire and cultivate a new generation of managers and leaders, equipped to meet the complex and shifting dynamics of health systems and services.
  • In an ever-evolving health and social care system, there is a growing need for managers with strong skills in organisational and change management. This course gives you the skills to lead change across healthcare teams and organisations. With a focus on quality and safety, you’ll learn about planning and evaluating health services to innovate and improve systems. 
  • Upon successful completion of the Master of Health Services Management, you will develop skills through the following learning outcomes:

    • Healthcare knowledge and concepts 
      Be a reflective, critical thinker who influences practice, policy and research to achieve clinical excellence and transform healthcare services. Improve healthcare outcomes by initiating and explaining appropriate change management methodologies.  
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills 
      Critique, interpret and synthesise data and research findings to develop safe, effective and evidence-based solutions to healthcare challenges. Propose relevant problem-solving and human factors theories to the analysis of common issues inherent in the management and evaluation of healthcare services.  
    • Healthcare leadership skills 
      Be an effective, collaborative and responsive leader who considers healthcare in a global context. Justify and demonstrate appropriate leadership styles and skills necessary to manage, evaluate and innovate healthcare services utilising contemporary local, national and international perspectives. 
    • Attitudes and values 
      Demonstrate respect and value for worldview differences and in Australian Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing. Create and lead social and ethical accountability to enable efficient use of resources and equity of access to optimal and safe healthcare. 
    • Communication and interpersonal skills 
      Communicate effectively and appropriately in challenging, complex and diverse situations. Value and choose highly effective and sensitive communication with diverse populations, to enable positive and sustainable change in healthcare practice, policy and research.  

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility

  • Applicants must have completed a UTS recognized bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates the potential to pursue graduate studies.

  • Personal Statement.

Language proficiency requirement:

Apllicant must have qualified any one of the language tests TOEFL, IELTS , PTE, CAE or AE5.
