Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
- I was so keen on pursuing my degree in biotechnology or biomedical abroad. So, I started preparing for IELTS. Initially, I wished to go to Germany, but later, after getting my IELTS score, I could get a quite good (kinda average) college in Australia. I had a few options like Monash, Britain, etc., but according to ranking, Monash was good compared to other universities.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
- They are very highly ranked universities in Australia and the world. The acceptance rate is also very low. Also, we need a good score in IELTS to get into that university. I also applied to some other colleges better than Monash, but I couldn't get accepted.

Admission Experience
- I had many other countries in mind while searching for universities, but for some reason, I had to choose Australia. My brother is pursuing an MS at a university in Texas; I know the conditions of students there.
- The academic reputation of Monash was quite good compared to other universities, so I chose it. The university is located in Melbourne. Career opportunities were quite good for biomedical students.
Class Schedule
- There will be five working days in a week. Class timings vary every day. The average strength of our class is 40. There are only 3-4 Indian students in our class. Comparatively less Indian students compared to other courses in our university. Assignments and stuff depend on professors. We study daily.
Faculty
- We have a very great faculty in our university. They are very intellectual. It’s a great choice to have a chance to be here and study and research with some of the most qualified lecturers. These lectures are so interactive that I can’t face any problems in my research. Specially Dr. Gregor is one of the best lecturers in college.
Campus Life
- The campus is good, and we have a good campus life at our university. We have a library at our university, and you will be able to access various books and resources for studies and research. Also, you have good sports facilities, and sports events also happen. Fests are also great, we can enjoy with our friends, there will be karaoke night, moonlight cinema and stuff.
Part Time Jobs
- Most Indian students prefer working part-time in cafes, supermarkets, etc.., so I also work in a cafe as a cashier. I am continuing my degree and cashier work at the same time to earn while learning, so this has been a lot of burden on me that made me depressed my professors helped me a lot, and I am able to manage.
- I am still studying in the first year of my course, so I don't have much idea about campus placements and stuff. But we have a good internship program. Also heard from seniors that they have quite good placements in university. Many of the seniors have good careers after university.
Placement
- Mostly 70 per cent of the students from the course get placed.
