The following are certain criteria to keep in mind regarding passing the Assam HS 12th Examination 2026.

  • The student must appear in six subjects, and the result will be declared as PASS only if the student secures 33% of the aggregate marks, even if he/she fails in one subject. However, passing in English and MIL/Alt. Eng. is compulsory.
  • ASSEB Div-II will award subject-wise grades to the candidates in H S Final Examinations from the academic year 2026-27, along with the marks secured by them in each subject.
  • In skill-based subject(s), the ratio of practical and theoretical parts included will be in the ratio of 50:50.
  • In case of Physically Handicapped students (CWSN), passing either in English or MIL/Alt. Eng. and the remaining 4 elective subjects are compulsory as per the Board's passing criteria to get the passing certificate.
