CSEET June 2026 Exam Pattern and Total Marks

CSEET is a computer-based test conducted by ICSI for students seeking entry into the CS Executive Programme. The June 2026 session was held on June 7, 2026. The exam has four papers, each carrying 50 marks, with a total exam duration of three hours thirty minutes.

Paper Subject Total Marks
Paper 1 Business Communication 50
Paper 2 Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning 50
Paper 3 Economic and Business Environment 50
Paper 4 Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills 50
Total All Papers 200

All questions are multiple choice. Paper 4 covers current affairs from recent months, updated for each session cycle. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers.

Paper-wise Qualifying Marks for CSEET June 2026

You must score at least 20 marks in each individual paper and a minimum of 100 marks in aggregate to pass CSEET June 2026. Clearing only one of these conditions is not enough — both must be met in the same attempt.

Paper Subject Maximum Marks Minimum Qualifying Marks Qualifying Percentage
Paper 1 Business Communication 50 20 40%
Paper 2 Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning 50 20 40%
Paper 3 Economic and Business Environment 50 20 40%
Paper 4 Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills 50 20 40%
Aggregate 200 100 50%

For example: if you score 22, 25, 18, and 40 across the four papers, your aggregate is 105 (above 100), but you scored only 18 in Paper 3 — below the 20-mark paper threshold. In this case you do not qualify despite crossing the aggregate cutoff.

How to Calculate Your CSEET Score

CSEET scoring is straightforward since there is no negative marking. Use these steps to estimate your marks after the June 2026 exam:

  1. Count the number of correct answers in each paper. Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
  2. Add up correct answers per paper to get your paper-wise score.
  3. Check that each paper score is 20 or above (40% minimum).
  4. Add all four paper scores to get your aggregate score.
  5. Check that the aggregate is 100 or above (50% minimum).
Aggregate Score (out of 200) Performance Band Qualifying Status (if paper-wise 40% also met)
160 and above Excellent Pass
130 – 159 Good Pass
100 – 129 Average Pass
Below 100 Below Threshold Not Qualified

All pass-band rows above assume you have also met the 40% per-paper minimum. Scoring 130 in aggregate but 18 in one paper still results in a not-qualified outcome.

What If You Do Not Meet the Qualifying Marks

Students who do not qualify CSEET in one session can re-appear in the next scheduled session. There is no cap on the number of CSEET attempts.

  • ICSI conducts CSEET twice a year — in January and in June.
  • Students who do not clear CSEET must apply fresh for the next session through the ICSI portal.
  • You cannot register for the CS Executive Programme until you pass CSEET, unless you fall in an exempt category.
  • Exempt students — such as graduates from recognised universities meeting ICSI eligibility norms — can bypass CSEET and register directly for CS Executive. Check the ICSI official website for the updated exemption list.
