Anubhav Kumar is the Assistant Training and Placement Co-Ordinator of Marwari College. He has been working at this position since 2017 and has also worked as an NSS Program Officer since 2019. As part of his education, he holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. degree. He has been awarded the Best NSS Program Officer of Ranchi in 2022 by Ranchi University and has an appreciation letter from IIT Mumbai.

Being a Placement coordinator of the Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
My role and responsibilities are to ensure that student’s skills and abilities are on par with the high standards of expertise in the professional world. We want to equip students with knowledge, expertise, skills, and practical know-how that are sought after by industry professionals today. We are dedicated to connecting students with the finest companies, including the most reputable multinational corporations. We are committed to both elevating students’ skills to industry levels and providing them with direct access to the best employment prospects through our strategic partnerships with learning corporations. This two-fold approach aims to maximise their career potential and ensure that they’re well-prepared to excel in the professional realm.
What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?
Our students are actively participating in CSR-funded training programs sponsored by companies like Google and CSR units like Mahindra Group's Nandi Foundation. These collaborations provide students with access to high-quality courses on platforms like Coursera, enhancing their skills and knowledge to meet industry standards. These initiatives reflect our institution's commitment to holistic education and align with corporate social responsibility values, offering students valuable real-world experiences while preparing them for successful careers.
What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from your department or how does your department prepare students for Higher education?
The allure of higher education, particularly MBA courses, has translated into remarkable success for our third-year students, with 21 of them securing lucrative packages of INR 9 lakhs per annum. This outstanding achievement serves as a powerful motivator for our undergraduate students, inspiring them to aspire to advanced studies and brighter career prospects.

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?
Every year, more than 500 students are placed at the college. Students who are enrolled in MBA, BBA, BCA, and MCA are allowed to take part in the placement process. The cornerstone of our prowess lies in effective connectivity and seamless communication. Leveraging the power of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools and robust infrastructure, we have the means to further enhance this strength. Through the integration of advanced digital resources, we can optimise our connectivity channels, fostering swift and efficient communication across all fronts. This strategic implementation of ICT not only refines our existing capabilities but also opens doors to new horizons of collaboration and engagement, positioning us at the forefront of effective communication in today's rapidly evolving landscape.
What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?
If you want to be successful in life, then you should attend this college and gain placement in the companies that you like the most. It's imperative for students to cultivate a holistic approach to their development. Beyond excelling in academics, active participation in activities such as NSS, NCC, sports, and cultural pursuits is highly encouraged. These engagements enrich their skills, fostering teamwork, leadership, and a well-rounded personality. Moreover, focusing on refining their English communication skills is equally vital, as it enhances their global competitiveness and professional readiness. Striking a balance between academic and extracurricular endeavours ensures a comprehensive growth trajectory, preparing students not only for successful careers but also for contributing positively to society.
How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?
The reputation of the organisation in which students are placed has the potential to have a substantial impact on the quality of this placement. It is possible that the credibility and stature of the organisation in which students are placed can have a significant impact on the quality of college placement. Employers often place a high value on experience gained while working for a recognised firm or organisation since it demonstrates a commitment to quality work. Improving graduate outcomes and educating students in both hard and soft skills, both professionally and otherwise, are among his priorities. The college's goal is to provide students with both a hard and soft skills education.
The goal of the college is to develop an environment that fosters excellence in the teaching and learning system, which will, in turn, inspire the minds of younger generations to contribute to the advancement of society. To achieve this goal, the college will build on its potential strengths and combine those strengths with the resources that are already available.
