Dr. T. Madhu Babu is the Head Of the EEE Department at Teegala Krishna Reddy Engineering College. He received his B.Tech from JNTU Hyderabad in 2010, M-Tech from NIT Calicut in 2013, and pursued a Ph.D. at Annamalai University Tamilnadu, India. He has 11 years of Experience in academics. He has Published 16 Research papers in various National and International Journals. He also presented eight papers at various National and International Conferences. His area of interest includes Power Quality, Voltage Stability, and AI Techniques in power systems.

What is the latest program that you are offering at Teegala Krishna Reddy Engineering College. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

We are offering Basic Technical Training and Advanced Technical Training to undergraduate EEE students, which are unique for our college students.


What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

We have been providing aptitude workshops, communication skills, and Python programming skills as a part of basic technical training. Additionally, it has been teaching Electrical & Electronics Engineering students about Java programming, soft skills, and artificial intelligence approaches. Due to the high demand for these subjects in the job market, it may be easier for students to get employment.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

One of the most challenging aspects of being a Head of the Department is managing and leading a team of diverse individuals. This includes making decisions, resolving conflicts, and motivating team members to achieve departmental goals.


What strategy do you employ for building an efficient work team?

As the head of the department, clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of each team member. Assess the skills and strengths of each team member. Conducting FDP programs to enhance to their skills and keep them up to date with industry best practices.


What was the most challenging task that you faced in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?

Dealing with the most challenging supervisor in my career. From this, I have been adopting strong conflict resolution skills. This includes effective communication, active listening, and mutually agreeable solutions.


What do you find most difficult about being Head of the Department?

Effective communication is essential for the head of the department, they must communicate with team members, superiors, management, stakeholders, and other departments.

Define your goals clearly and create a plan to achieve them. Keep learning, growing, and adapting, and you will be well prepared.
