Academic Qualification

• Academic Background:
  • Master’s in Biostatistics or related field recommended (not required) with minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Strong background in calculus, linear algebra, and statistics required.
• GRE Requirement: GRE General Test required unless exempted by meeting specific coursework and GPA criteria.
• GRE Exemption: Must meet all:
  • 2 semesters of calculus (B).
  • 1 semester of linear algebra (B).
  • 1 semester of statistics (B).
  • Undergrad GPA: 3.0.
  • Quantitative/math GPA ?3.0.
  • Grad GPA: 3.0 (if applicable).
• Experience: Research/professional experience strongly preferred, especially for applicants without a Master’s.
• Course Requirements (upon admission): Includes STAT 210A/B, PBHLTH C240A/B, 252 series in causal inference, and Biostatistics Doctoral Seminar.

• GRE Verbal: 160–165 & GRE Quantitative: 160–168.

• GMAT: 710–730.

English Language Requirement

• TOEFL iBT: 90.
• IELTS: 7.0.
