- Wish it were to be more hands on.
- Class timings were in the evenings.
- Wish the course registrations and class offerings were more flexible.
Campus Life
- Three campuses across Grand Rapids and Allendale, There is everything: Libraries on each campus, plenty of computer labs open for use, medical centres, and a recreation centre in one campus with plenty of equipment. The Allendale campus is mostly for Undergraduate students.
- Most of the Computing classes happen on the Health campus, which is in Grand Rapids. There is a campus nightlife event, which is huge. Students put up stalls where you can play games and buy stuff. There is a lot of free stuff as well.
Accommodation
- Find a community and lease an apartment if you know students who are coming in the same semester. Apple Ridge apartments are the most suitable for people who are going to use bus services to commute to the campuses. Most students from India live in this area. It is good to have a community of students.
Likes
- Inclusiveness – I always felt included and belonged to the college
- Opportunities – Ample of opportunities are available from Career Center to Mental Health.
- Part-Time Jobs – On campus jobs are easily available
Dislikes
- Limited Campus Housing – GVSU has limited housing options, which could make it difficult for students to get accommodations.
- Large Class Size – I have been to class with only 6 students and I have been to class with 30 students, which I feel is a lot.
- Transportation – Public transportation could be an issue, even though LakerLine goes but if you want to explore the city, you really need to have your car.
Campus Life
- The two major campuses of GVSU are in Allendale and Grand Rapids, respectively, and provide first-rate amenities including state-of-the-art libraries, labs, and leisure centers.
- While Grand Rapids is bustling and metropolitan, the Allendale campus is renowned for its tranquil setting. Activities like "Spring Fling" and "Campus Life Night" showcase student participation. Academic societies, as well as cultural and recreational groups like the International Student Organization and Data Science Club, are examples of clubs.
- Leadership courses, volunteer initiatives, and intramural sports are examples of extracurricular activities. Events like the Padnos International Center, Global Gala and Homecoming honor diversity and promote relationships. GVSU offers a vibrant and welcoming campus community!

I opted for On-Campus
-
I find my accommodation through- GVSU had their own platform called myHousing in which you can find your housing according to your financial needs.
-
Monthly rent was 600$ and everything was included in the rent and utilities bill too.

I chose to go to this college because my sister went here before she went to medical school. Also it?s close to home for me so I don't have to live on campus. It's an accredited university that looks beautiful.
Accommodation
I've found that living in on-campus apartments is very helpful because I don't have to worry about monthly rent and can focus on academics instead. I don't have to worry about whether I'm going to be able to eat, pay for rent, have a job, and get good grades in my classes.
The beauty of the campus and an amazing program for my major. It was also far away from my hometown which was a huge goal for me. I visited the campus during my senior year in high school and absolutely fell in love. Everything draws you in from the modernized buildings to the friendly people on campus.
