- The BA in Biology program provides fundamental training in the core concepts of molecular and cellular biology, anatomy, physiology, and genetics.
- In this program, students will acquire a breadth of knowledge in the biological sciences and will develop skills in analytical thinking through problem-based assignments and exams, and laboratory exercises.
- Students will also develop skills in the use of current methodology and investigation through laboratory courses and will understand the scientific research infrastructure of the United States.
- The program can also serve as a stepping stone to continued education in a graduate or professional school where student’s biology background could provide a critical component in a career in government, business, or the law.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of 120 credits and at least 90 credits in the liberal arts and sciences
- Students must achieve and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- The students should have completed the General Education Program at the University at Albany
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
- Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.
