- The Master of Science in Deaf Education (MSDE) program prepares students as teachers of children who are deaf or hard of hearing (birth to grade 12). The early identification of hearing loss and advanced hearing technologies have increased the national need for teachers with experience in listening and spoken language, creating opportunities for graduates across the country.
- The two-year curriculum is rooted in the development of speech, language, and academics. With that as a foundation, students study the factors necessary for high-quality education for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- A one-year (two semester) program is also available for qualified students with a degree and teacher certification in deaf education. Coursework and experiences are tailored to meet the individual interests and background of each student who enrolls in the one-year program.
