- I like the amiable and receptive environment of my college. We are given the liberty of doing projects and research in the field of our interest. The faculty is super supportive and helpful. They are always willing to help students and guide through the appropriate resources. They have a communication lab which helps students in their assignments and presentations. I just love this resource as it is very important for students like us whose first language is not English.
- They had a unique concept of public health with intersection of social work and social policy.
Dislikes
- I am a bit uncomfortable with the expenses of this program. I think its pretty expensive. There should be more scholarships for students like us who hold a professional medical degree from India. Also, there should be more research around medical field since my school focuses more on social work side of public health and less on clinical side.
Campus Life
The campus life is extremely engaging and fun. They have our own baseball and football teams. They also have our own gym. We have a number of student associations to cater to students' needs. There are also a number of concerts on campus from eminent singers and performers.
Accommodation
Most of the accommodation is in the form of 1 or 2 BHK apartments. The cost varies by location and is around 900$.
Accommodation
I lived on campus for at least my first years in a dorm. This year I am in a modern dorm in a single with a common space connection four rooms. I also have a meal plan through the school, although this has great beaches and the food is delicious.
I loved the balance between academics and fun. I loved how collaborative friendly and happy it is. And I love the flexibility across schools. For example, I am majoring and double minoring across three of the five schools. I learned about this college through word of mouth in my town. It is always very popular among high scholars in my town and so many people talk about it and I was encouraged to apply.
Accommodation
Many students in our program live near campus. I am a 10-15 minute walk away and I live with another PT student. Many other PT students live in our apartment complex. We have a gated parking lot, a gym, and many other perks that graduate students enjoy.
WashU is a great school offering a program focused on Movement System Impairments, which is what I am interested in practicing as a clinician. It is also a top-ranked program and the city of St. Louis is very reasonable to live in.
It was the best value because I got a full scholarship/highest rank. Also when I visited I could imagine a high quality of life for myself due to the beautiful dorms and yummy food. It was big enough that I could meet new people every day if I wanted to but not big enough that I would feel lost.
