Important Dates
- The Masters of Accounting program at the School of Business is ranked in the top 25 in the 2013 Public Accounting Report’s prestigious annual survey of more than 1,700 programs around the country.
- The MAcc readies students to sit for the Utah CPA exam and prepares them for careers in public and corporate accounting, tax auditing and advising, non-profit, government accounting, and financial reporting.
- While most students complete the program in two semesters, the MAcc can be completed part-time over four semesters while working full-time.
- At every pace, the MAcc gives students a solid foundation in the principles of accounting, as well as a breadth of knowledge in related business disciplines. Throughout the program, the School of Business places a strong emphasis on analytical thinking, communication skills, and professionalism.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in their home country.
- They should obtain at least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate weighted mean GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
