The Department of Bioengineering has an active, interdisciplinary bioengineering program in conjunction with faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Health and Rehabilitative Sciences, Dental Medicine, The Graduate School of Public Health, and the clinical staffs at the UPMC hospitals in addition to the other departments within the School of Engineering. This program is directed toward graduate bioengineering education and research, with particular emphasis on the Ph.D. program.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the academic requirements of the program:
- Students must have a bachelor's degree in a field of engineering or closely related (e.g. physics, or applied mathematics, kinesiology) From a recognized university.
- Students are expected to have a minimum QPA of 3.5 from an accredited BS program in engineering.
- Students must demonstrate evidence of exposure to the field of PT through volunteer or work experience.
