The major prepares students for employment in the forecasting, product development, promotion, distribution, wholesale, and retail sectors of the global textile and apparel industries. Students study the flow of apparel through trend analysis, design and product development, production, marketing, and retail.

The Fashion Design and Merchandising major within Family and Consumer Science prepares students for employment in the product development, distribution and retail sectors of the textile and apparel bus iness industries. Students study the flow of apparel from production to sales with a focus on apparel design, merchandising, and product development and analysis, as well as business skills that employers find attractive.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Must have graduated from secondary school
- Submit all the unofficial transcripts of previous school attended
- SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English language proficiency scores
English Language Requirements:
