Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Must complete at least 7 of the following 12 prerequisite courses prior to applying to the nursing program—at least 5 of the 7 MUST be in math & science requirements. However, students who have completed more of the math and science pre-requisites or ALL prerequisite courses may have a stronger chance of being admitted.
- Cumulative KSU GPA of 3.0 (or transfer GPA for newly accepted KSU students)
- A grade of C or better in all prerequisite and major requirements—courses may only be repeated once
- A minimum score of 78 on the ATI TEAS Entrance Exam (limited to 2 attempts in a twelve-month period)
- Graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-or graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.6 without test scores(If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation must indicate GPA)
- Official transcripts of ALL student's high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by one of the following credential evaluation services found at naces.org.
- Students High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA.
- Students College/University transcript will need to have a course-by-course evaluation.
- Results from your Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT).
- International students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
