- The journalism concentration is focused on how news and other information is selected, gathered, prepared and disseminated. But our students do much more than just understand these processes; they practice and develop the necessary skills to perform at a high professional standard.
- Students will consider both the tradition and the reality of an unfettered press, which is the essence of the First Amendment, as students develop a firm grasp of legal and ethical expectations of the profession. Through class assignments, work on the Flyer News and internships, they will begin to gain experience in the working practices of professional journalists.
