- The MSBA program at Cal State Easy Bay blends business, analytics, and technology, preparing me for project management and data-driven roles with hands-on learning. Being in the Bay Area means access to tech hubs, startups, and Fortune 500 companies, enhancing networking and job prospects.

Class Schedule
- There will be 2 classes a week, 4 hours each. It's a 7-week course for each subject. It can be 9 AM to 12 PM or 1 PM to 5 PM or 6 PM to 10 PM. The strength varies from 20 to 30 in each class. The majority of my class students are Indians. Around 20 hours a week can go into assignments and self-study.
Faculty
- There are a minimum of 2 faculty partners for each subject and per 20-30 students. The best faculties, according to me, are Zinovy Radovilsky, who taught us data optimization and Vish Hegde, who taught us project management. I like their teaching better, as they were so accommodating in the class and also their teaching approach is very interesting.
Campus Life
- There are 23 Cal State campuses, and mine is East Bay. It includes a well-equipped library, sports complex, student health Centre and dining commons. The name of my campus is Cal State East Bay—Hayward (Main).

Part Time Jobs
- The average pay is $18 per hour. Finding part-time work is easy if we have access to all the resources and are at the right time at the right place. Most job opportunities are posted on the official Instagram pages and it's highly recommended to follow them and keep track. Other than that, digital boards, and flyers are the ads. We can check them and apply.
- 10% of the students get TA/DA/RA roles. The typical pay is around $16. The hourly wage on campus varies from $16 to $21, and finding internships depends on so many factors like technical skills, and managerial skills. Ability to find the right opportunity and be in the race. The maximum hours of work allowed per week is 20 hours.
Placement
- About 50% of the students secure a job within 6 months. The average salary ranges from 20 to 40 dollars in California. Students typically find jobs through LinkedIn, Handshake or referrals from relatives and friends. The highest salary offered could be $40-45, and the lowest $15-20 anywhere in the US to an average experienced candidate.
Accommodation
- WhatsApp, Facebook Groups. Challenges faced are not finding people who you can rely on until the lease is signed and you step into the country. I found the WhatsApp groups of the apartment I live in and found people who I would be comfortable with and then formed a group and signed a lease. Make good bonds with the people you want to live with.
